Listen, the locker room is easily the most important thing in a DSFL team. You have new players who are experiencing the league for the first time and will judge the league based on their DSFL locker room. This is why I love the Dallas Birddogs locker room so much because they do this so well. We have multiple active channels, both public and private, and our public channels don't just have team members in them, we have many people from all around the league inside of our server. This not only makes the server very full of variety but also makes for some very fun conversations, allowing rookies to meet a ton more people in a more relaxed environment. Our private channels are great too. We have a lot of great conversations in the private sector, allowing for rookies to get accustomed to the league and the private area, meeting both their GMs and their fellow teammates.

There is no shortage of locker room leaders in the Honolulu Hahalua building, with many players full of wisdom and experience that they're eager to share with their fellow players as they look to guide the team to victory. Lenard McRobinson is one, but players like Tyler Higbee, Ray Baker, Stetson David, Federico Americano, Fig Newton, A Waffle, and others have all been around the block a time or two and know how to motivate a team to get up and play their hearts out. Some leaders like McRobins9on are more quiet and lead by example, putting their heads down and setting the standard for the team by showing up and working hard each and every day. Others, like Higbee, are vocal leaders who always know how to put together a galvanizing speech that turns a group of talented athletes into a well oiled machine ready to score touchdowns and hit hard. With leaders like this, the sky is the limit for the Hahalua.

Born to lead. Adolin reflects on that thought frequently, these days. Most people, I should think, look at Colorado and think that Willeh Strong is the leader of the Yeti defense. And, to be clear, they would mostly be right. Willeh is certainly the most prominent of the players, of the young blood and the... secretly not-so-young blood alike. He is, without a doubt, the face, if not the heart and soul as well, of a team that's trying desperately to claw its way back to relevance.

And that suits Adolin just fine. He's already given up the glory once before; he can do it again and again, if he needs to. Secretly, he's somewhat glad for the younger man's presence, for his innate gravitation towards being the "Strong"est player on one of the weakest teams.

Because Willeh may be the heart and the soul of the defense, but Adolin is the brains. Not a king; never a king. But a battlefield commander is more fitting anyhow.
