But yeah the sim OVR is broken as fuck. I was trying to figure out how its calculated but couldn't do it. Looks like it values tackling and strength higher than it really should for CBs ... which would explain my comparatively low OVR since I focused on speed and agility

Nah it's still interesting. Even if mainly because it shows how broken the sim's OVR rating is, lol.

Only reason I realised it was totally broken was because I was trying to reverse engineer it and find a "better" way for my own purposes, tbh. Tried applying Madden logic as broadly as I could, but it still doesn't really work as an indicator of a player's effectiveness in the sim. Yet.

Been investigating attribute-performance correlations to try and craft a good system, but it breaks when you realise players can be played "out of position" and completely beast it.

But yeah. Still interesting.
