When does Applehort become an FA? @Daybe

Aren't there a few upgrades in FA out there this season?

without doubt!

tbh a painfully honest airing-out like this probably goes a lot further towards building team credibility than a blind optimism. I like it.

@tlk742 @Muford that's what I meant. We didn't have much room in our O and still went after Smallwood super fucking hard. He would change the Yeti offense and ....... they said no? Crazy

Trust the process?

Step 1: Have a process

unfortunately, the process of picking #1 every year works well until you actually get good.

Glad to hear grievances, it's how we improve. The Yeti haven't been perfect, but we have improved leaps and bounds from our streak of consecutive losses and held together a core of guys during a period that would have seen other teams' users go IA, or perhaps even orchestrate a mass retirement.

You can shake your head at some of the Yeti HO's decisions, but anyone in the know wouldn't do so regarding the Smallwood issue. We had just signed Grau, who had opted not only to be a part of the team rather than forcing our hand in a trade so he could play WR elsewhere, but also went so far as to position switch to RB. All signs pointed to him being our bell-cow back for seasons to come, and regardless, we couldn't supplant him after his decision to position switch for the good of the team.

Most importantly, though, there was the issue of tlk's frequent (whether justified or not, and it's all in the past anyway) attacks on the Yeti in the public domain. After spending several seasons languishing at the bottom of the league and trying to keep our LR positive in spite of it, the last thing we wanted to do was drop the LR-health equivalent of a nuclear bomb in Colorado.

I'm excited to be a part of the Yeti GM team moving forward. And as any good GM should, I scour these threads for the gems of insight and outsider perspective among the otherwise entertaining hyperbole.
