Sir, this is a dot football league
This is kind of shortsighted to say. History in league like this is really important and something a ton of people are proud to be a part of and cling to. Ignoring the importance of league legacy and history takes away a huge part of what people love about the league.

Please don't mistake me repeating a meme phrase as being my official position on league history.

You're right, history is important and we should preserve and celebrate it while also not letting the league grow stale.

Otherwise we might see our loyal, long-time users leave to create their own rival league!

Out of all the culturally rich and significant places on the entire continent, you people picked South Africa. LOL.

I thought Fire Salamanders was the worst thing I've ever seen in a sim league. Then I woke up today and saw this disaster.

Another day thankful I play for a good franchise.

Ur just mad u don't have a monopoly on purple anymore

Once they lose, you might as well go with Cape Town Trash instead of Crash. Rolls of the tongue even easier Wink

Joking aside, I do like the rebrand.

While I did crack some jokes earlier, it should be appreciated the effort that went into this. Doesn't have to be my cup of tea to appreciate the process. Thankful we still have sim leagues to bust each other's chops over stuff like this.

This is also why keeping historical records/archives of sim leagues is important because one day you'll be looking back on this stuff a decade or two after the league folds and want to re-live it; even just a little bit. I know from experience and wish I could go back and see my old sim league stuff from 15 years ago.

I appreciate the candor; and I can say that there's no intent to remove the Liberty from the league history or any of that stuff.
I'm just more surprised that you've got 15 years of sim league history.

You just sent me down a rabbit hole. So far here's the earliest I can find -- from October 12 2004; 2 weeks before the Red Sox win the World Series and change my life forever https://web.archive.org/web/20041012095433/http://www.thewbl.vzz.net/p632.html

Did Zayn give 124715 brain damage prior to this taking place?

Actually quite the opposite. 124715 at points last season looked in the mirror and asked himself "Do I suck?" He genuinely didn't know if he belonged on this level because he was so beleaguered by both the fan base and his coaches. And then Zayn put together a 700 play tape to show him how good he actually was.

Oh so when you said, "15 years ago" you actually meant MORE than 15 years!?
