The S35 DSFL was one for the ages and saw a few great picks and a definite steal. Derrick Prince going so late is unbelievable as he is both active and has a clear plan in mind for his development. My gut tells me that he suffered from such a deep wide receiver class but his production will show what a stud he is. Rookie of the Year is going to Graham Harper as he was #1 pick and is incredibly active. I expect to see him show up on top of the INT leaderboards in a hurry. Coyotes got away with highway robbery with such a loaded wide receiver core and will dominate through the air. I expect to see them end with a positive record and perhaps a playoff run. The only certain thing about this class is that it will be one for the ages and shape the future of the league.

Before I go in depth on a certain player in this draft, I just want to mention that out of the 8 first round picks in the DSFL draft half of them were secondary players. As a safety I'm glad to the secondary players get the love they deserve. It might be a bit of a cop out but I really like first overall pick CB Graham Harper but coming into the league the tools to make an instant impact for Norfolk. Harper projects to be a lockdown corner right away with really good speed for his level along with some decent hands. There are some areas he needs to work on though with tackling and intelligence being the main two things to work on, in this league your speed won't be enough to save you if your not smart enough to read a route of QB and then can't make an open field tackle. He's still a raw player like most players are at this stage but if he keeps his level of improvement up he'll be a sure fire 1st round pick next offseason.

In both ISFL and DSFL, the utmost purpose of draft is to draft users that are active and sticking to your team. and unlike ISFL, where player stats and team successes are considered to a certain degree in measuring good drafts, the activity of the draft class is pretty much the sole deciding factor towards the success a team enjoyed in a certain draft. In this sense, the Bondi Beach Buccaneers won the S35 DSFL draft. As a large, relatively active class, this DSFL class had a good assortment of active users, both recreate and true rookie. In this draft, Bondi Beach drafted 16 total players, and gained about 5 new contributors to their locker room. this is an amazing hit rate, considering that slightly more than half of this class's players are already considered inactive, with a significant number never responding after their player creation. so 5 new discord active players means that the team scored a massive hit on more than 60% in sense of activity, as discord activity is pretty much the best form of activity a team can expect nowadays. and as they also landed an active player via post draft waivers apart from significantly bolstering their locker room with their draftees, I am sure that Bondi will enjoy quite a lot of success in user perspectives this upcoming season.
