I think the point adam is trying to make is Vegas is hurting Vegas AND Philly, albeit it's hurting Philly more than Vegas (this is based on the assumption that acquiring the players you want is more valuable than draft picks/the future).
If Vegas doesn't make these trades, Philly and Vegas are on equal footing and the six original teams are hurt the most.
Vegas has starting making moves so the original teams are hurt less and Philly is hurt more.

The biggest mistake, in my humble opinion, is allowing them to still pick 2 players from teams they made a trade with that had them acquiring a player. That is what is driving down the potential talent to divvy up between the two.

right and having trades already ruined the expansion draft...which defeats the whole purpose of an expansion draft. It was a poor decision to allow trades pre-draft from the jump. Like I said before, sometimes real life doesn't make sense for sim life.
