Yellowknife, NT

After spending a few hours in the stands, and just over 3 rounds of the draft, the young right back Thomas Carrasco finally heard his name called up to the stage, and by a familiar voice.
"I saw Spike hit the stage. I wasn't expecting them to call my name at this point, was sure they'd be targeting a guy they need better positionally. I've always had a good relationship with Wraiths, honestly I was pretty excited to hear my name called."

Shortly after being drafted, Spike and Carrasco met each other backstage. "I was pretty excited to be apart of Yellowknife, though I was somewhat concerned about my future. They picked up probably one of the best running backs available in Summers, and I wanted to go up as soon as possible."

The young RB was told that the Wraiths are willing to call him up this season, and he would be splitting time with Summers. "I mean hell yeah I think I'm going with that. The Wraiths have me in a position where I can beat the touchdown record by a rookie. I really want that. Just need Brad [Pennington] to throw me on his shoulders yeah."

"While we're at it, I gotta throw some shade at these critics. 'Likely to bust' 'drafted only cause he has connections to Yellowknife'. You're pretty wrong. I'm here to prove to the other gms and guys like kckolbe that I'm not just a 28th overall pick."
