(S11) - PT 2 - Breakout Player - Oles - 10-23-2018

Typically I don't like to talk about my own player for a task such as this. It seems a bit vain but Kazimir Oles is 100% slated to breakout this season. With an up and coming Joilet Christ and a partner in crime as talented as himself in Xavier Flash, Oles could easily break 1000 yards this season and equal, or do better than his touchdown count from the season prior. Oles had 8 touchdowns as a rookie, which is an impressive number considering the team he was on and how poor the offense was. Now that the rookie is widely considered as one of the fastest players in the league, and will be growing with his QB instead of watching an old QB come in and hold over for a season, Kazimir Oles should be expected to have a top tier season for WRs, and should see that production last for a long time. Kazimir Oles can be considered the top WR in San Jose, and maybe the most promising young WR, but both him and Xavier Flash look to be a great duo and they look to solidify themselves, and the Sabercats, as a top team and pairing as they age together and become elite options. Ricky Adams is a stellar player. However he will definitely take the next step this year. He is a great runner but also a great catcher which is going to be important for the Orange County Otters this season. Gus TT Showbiz is still developing into a franchise quarterback and until he can make all the throws and keep his back off the turf he will need someone to dump the ball off too. In comes Rick Adams, that guy. He will be able to make plays from the slot and any position in the backfield. If you have seen this guy on tape then you know what he is capable of. Showbiz definitely has some great receivers in Atwell and Crush but they wont be creating quite the mismatch that Adams can when he lines up against a linebacker. Rick also has the power to push through the defensive line which will really help when they get down to the red zone and only need a few yards for a first down or touchdown. So there it is, now dont you disappoint me. Ricky Adams, it is your turn to shine and if you don’t it will be remembered forever because at this point you can not fail.

Micycle McCormick has always been considered as one of the great kickers in the league, but with the recent injury and position switch caused by it, McCormick is looking to become a breakout at the quarterback position. Over the first four games, McCormick has found himself second in the league in passing yards at 1256 yards and 3rd in QB rating at 85.8, but stats won't be the only reason he'll be a new star. McCormick has the advantage of having league leading wide receiver Howard Miller lining up on the outside for him, which will also open up fellow star Dwayne Aaron on the opposite side. Other players like Alvin Chipmunk, long-time Yeti Brian Wheat, and rookie running back Devo Cansino will also serve as major targets, making McCormick's life as easy as possible.

McCormick has been working all offseason at becoming the best quarterback that he can be for the Yeti, and his previous experience as emergency QB for his high school and college teams have proven extremely beneficial. As Howard Miller stated in a media piece earlier this year, McCormick had been often seen after practice throwing extra passes to receivers when previous QBs Nicholas Pierno got injured and when Ryan Applehort's future with the team was in question. His previous chemistry with the team has paid off so far, but will it be enough to lead the Yeti to an elusive Ultimus?

Arizona TE Balthazar Crindy is going to break out this year. Mired as a middle of the pack TE on a struggling offense with a young QB, Crindy had some shocking preseason results, including
a 10-catch, 86-yard, 3 TD game in preseason week 2 and a 9 catch, 78-yard performance in the finale. Crindy developed more agility over the offseason to help break more tackles and increase short completions to longer ones. Over the years, Crindy's yards per catch average has steadily climbed, from 5.6 as a rookie, to 6.7, to 6.9, and now is over 7. Already a standout blocker, who did not allow a sack through his first two seasons before surrendering only two last year, Crindy is an every-down player for the Arizona Outlaws.

As a major red zone target for young quarterback Fitzpatrick, who is getting better every day, Crindy should make a bigger impact for fantasy teams as well, as evidenced by his own confidence, and that of his teammates: https://twitter.com/BBarnesNSFL/status/1054110324616511488

A mitigating impact to Crindy's breakout 4th season will be the Outlaws defense, and in week 1 we saw the impact of surrendering a huge halftime deficit which set the Fitzpatrick passing attack up for lots of downfield throws, as opposed to the core of the Arizona offense built around ball-controlling offense and Reg Mackworthy.

Looking at our team it's kind of tough to pick a player who will have their breakout year, simply for the fact that we have a TON of candidates seeing as something like half or more of our players are rookies this year and any one of them could be considered a breakout player if they have a phenomenal year, much akin to Marquise Brown last season. With that said though, there is one player in particular I think needs to step up and will as he makes a huge impact on our team and that player is Lucari Felix. I think bringing in Andre Bly will help establish a good up and coming secondary and in his second season on the team Felix will be looked upon as a guy to help shut down opposing defenses. Last season we were ranked 7th out of 8 teams when it came to pass defense and that just isn't going to work anymore. We saw what he could do in week 1 as we only allowed 261 yards passing and Felix had 2 passes defended. I think this is the season that he steps up and makes a number of huge plays and most importantly stifles opposing defenses as we shock a few around the league.
