Angus Winchester Announces His Retirement - timeconsumer - 01-04-2019
In his 12th season of professional football, three-time Ultimus Champion Angus Winchester has announced that this will be his final season on the gridiron. Having played three different positions during his career, and won positional best awards for two of them, he has left a lasting legacy in Orange County.
"Although I regret not being able to continue to play the game I love for the team I love, I feel my age catching up to me and I want to end my career on my own terms. I think the Otters defense has such incredible players on it right now that they won't miss me too much. I think the whole team we have right now reminds me a lot of the guys we had during the dynasty a few years ago, and I think there's a good chance that I get one more Ultimus ring by the end of this.
There are far too many teammates, opponents, and leaders for me to thank them all individually for how they've impacted me both on and off the field these past 12 seasons. I think every person who plays in this league, every staff member, every coach, every GM, and every crooked head office member can feel proud for what we have built here together. Thank you all for everything you've done and everything you do.
