*A New Tijuana co-GM? - TomHanks - 04-28-2019 With Brian Mills making the decision to step down from a management role to become a full-time scout and focus on his family, questions surrounding who will take his role have been swirling. Here to introduce himself is the new Tijuana Luchadores’ co-GM. A man bearing a striking resemblance, albeit looking quite a bit worse for wear, to Tijuana Luchadore running back Forrest Gump staggers towards to podium, beer in hand. “Hi there, name’s Jimmy Dugan. You may remember me from my baseball career or coaching the Rockford Peaches. Either way that’s in my past, I love baseball but I’m here to win football games. You need a hell of a lot of grit to play either sport, and I want to bring that competitive edge to Tijuana. I might be a hard ass, but I get results, and I ain’t interested in whether or not you like me. There’s no crying in football. I’m ready to win a championship.” Jimmy stands up, almost knocking over his beer, catches it, and leans into the microphone “Avoid the clap.” And with that, he stumbles off the stage. Here is some footage from Jimmy Dugan’s last game as a baseball manager before transitioning to football.
