Achievement based monetary incentive - TeyonSchavari - 05-22-2019

I'm not sure if this has been brought up or not, I didn't see any posts similar to this, but would there be any chance of implementing monetary incentives for achievements throughout the season?

For example, if you win an award you get a $500k bonus, pro bowl $250k, league MVP $1m, etc. I feel this may boost activity and help players feel more motivated to keep active and keep improving. If you are accomplishing great things in the league, I think it makes sense that you get rewarded for that.

To expand on this, we could have something like players in the NFL have - monetary incentives from the team for accomplishing performance goals set by the GM. If you have X amount of touchdown passes/yards/tackles/interceptions/etc. you get Y bonus. Doesn't have to be a huge amount of money to start out, like say a $10k-$50k bonus per goal, but this would help offset the 'discrimination' players in low-stat positions or newer players with lower TPE might feel if they aren't in a good spot to win any awards. It could also encourage players to keep up with the games and keep them updating so they can get better stats. I'm not expert on Cap space or any of that so I'm not sure how that would be affected.

Of course, this is just a rough draft of an idea I had that I thought would be beneficial to players. Feel free to rip into this as much as you see fit.

Its not a bad idea. And 1M per award won used to be a thing in the DSFL and then it just sort of dropped off I think? I don't really know what happened with that.

And then team awards are allowed, they just need to come out of team's cap space. I forget how much is allowed (I think not more than 1M per player) and what the exact circumstances are, but there is at least some avenue for this.

I like this idea. It's not a huge amount, but would also make the seasonal awards more interesting if there was a little cash on the line.
