Tight End Rankings: Week 6 - Blake Bortles - 06-23-2017

Welcome to the weekly tight end rankings! As a quick note, remember that the rankings in this series are based singularly on play, without taking into account factors like TPE. With that in mind, let's go into the rankings!

#1 George Wright Jr., Orange County Otters
[Image: Uud1xOe.png]
@Player1
George Wright Jr. had far and away the best week amongst tight ends. He led tight ends in every category except yards per catch, which is a significant stat line. George Wright had the most yards and receptions, despite being primarily regarded as a blocking tight end. He also tied for first among tight ends in pancake blocks and didn't allow a single sack. Despite Wright's herculean effort, the Otters could not pull away a victory.

#2 Gabriel Tenzini, Baltimore Hawks

@princekyle
Tenzini is consistently among the top of these rankings due to his consistent level of production. Tenzini never has monster games, but he always has an impact, and always does what's asked of him. In week 6 the ball didn't go Tenzini's way that often, but the made the most out of every reception with nearly a first down every time. He also managed to get a pancake block to add to his stat line.

#3 Joseph Tkachuk, Arizona Outlaws

@Theo667
Joesph Tkachuk's play fluctuates week by week, and while he's had down weeks where he's stat's aren't very impressive, he's shown that his ceiling is high as an NSFL Tight End. In week 6 Tkachuk was tied for the most pancake blocks amongst tight ends, and was among the top 5 in terms of yardage. While Tkachuk doesn't look to be a star player, he a can be quite an impressive role player.

#4 Break Bottles, San Jose SaberCats
[Image: mEhxYpC.png]

Break Bottles has been the best receiving tight end thus far, he leads tight ends in both receptions and yards. Week 6 was not his strongest week, but it was a solid week. Bottles had nearly 20 yards and two pancake blocks. Nothing special, but a solid week.

#5 Ricky Madox, Yellowknife Wraiths

@SimmerDownBruhh
Ricky Maddox's production is far below what we're accustomed to seeing from him. Maddox is usually one of the top tight ends in both yards and receptions, but in week 6 he wasn't either. Maddox had 3 drops compared to his two receptions, and was covered effectively. He still managed to get on the boards with a few receptions and a pancake block. This was not Maddox's best week, but I'm sure he'll use it to inspire his play for weeks to come.

#6 Mark Hargrove, Colorado Yeti
[Image: 9cQRer9.png]
@Viktor1980
Mark Hargrove got back on the boards with a reception and a pancake block. It's not really something super special, but it's what's been asked of him in a system which does not use tight ends very heavily. Hargrove's numbers haven't risen back to his preseason or week 1 level, but he's getting on the board.

#7 Rolf Larsendorf, Yellowknife Wraiths

@HazardouSpork
Neither of the Wraith's "Phantom TE's" had a great game in week 6. They both had less than 10 yards, and 1 or less pancake block. Larsendorf didn't have a great showing, as he didn't have a single pancake block. Larsendorf is a blocking tight end by nature, so not having a single pancake block is not a good look for him.
