A look back at Rod Tidwells career in the DSFL and upcoming life in the NSFL.

Rod Tidwell was drafted to the Tijuana Luchadores in the 11th round at pick number 66 in the S14 DSFL Draft. Having grown up in Phoenix, Arizona Rod was familiar with the Tijuana area and was excited to play there. Though he felt great disrespect at the spot in which he was draft. Sixty-sixth overall for THE Rod Tidwell, was great disrespect and he could not take disrespect as he needed to capture the Kwan. Kwan, if you all have forgotten is a big part of the Tidwell lifestyle. It encapsulates everything he believes in, family, respect, accomplishments, winning, life, and all things that advance you and your families place in society. So being picked so low in the draft was seen as a negative in his Kwan. Rod Tidwell, however, was happy to be going to a place that he felt he could grow and establish himself. That place was the Tijuana Luchadores. The reason he was excited about Tijuana is because it is a growing and emerging city. There are very few other spots to distract the people from Tidwell’s greatness. This way he could earn the respect of a big city, garner the fame of the city, and win. These things would help in going forward in the S15 NSFL draft and hopefully gain him the most Kwan possible.

Well the first season in Tijuana was a big success for Rod Tidwell. He was able to amass a good season and Tijuana, while they didn’t win, were able to compete and play in the championship game. For the regular season, Rod Tidwell caught 59 passes for a total of 902 yards and 5 touchdowns. This was good enough for 2nd in the league in receiving yards and top 3 in touchdowns. This was a hugely successful first year as he went on to the Pro Bowl and headed towards the NSFL draft with his fellow Luchadores. Entering the S15 National Simulation Football League draft, Tidwell was confident in his Kwan that he was going to do big things. There was a team from his home state of Arizona picking first and seventh. Rod Tidwell did not think that Arizona, where Rod Tidwell was football, would pass up on having the greatest receiver out there. Much to his surprise however, they did take a wide receiver first overall, it was not Rod Tidwell. Big mistake here by Arizona, as they got some dude named Brock Landers. This dude could only catch 1 touchdown in his season and amassed only 727 yards. Surely Rod Tidwell was better than this. Rod Tidwell took great offense to Arizona passing him, and he swore off ever going to Arizona in a heated media exchange. This left the door wide open for other teams to swoop in and take the Rod Tidwell. Rod Tidwell had to wait a bit longer than he would have liked but ended up going somewhere unexpected. Austin, Texas had just been announced as a newly formed expansion franchise in the NSFL. They were looking to make some offensive splashes in the off season and looking towards the S16 draft were the team would come into existence. They already took a tight end and had a quarter back lined up. At the 15th overall the Austin Copperheads select Rod Tidwell of the Tijuana Luchadores. Finally, someone showed Rod Tidwell the respect he deserves and drafted him. Austin is going to be a good place for Rod Tidwell, it is a new market and a new team. He will become a god in Austin and earn the respect of the league. This much is true. When Rod Tidwell, decides to catch all the balls for one team, he will do just that. Maximum respect and winning are what Rod Tidwell desires. This way he can earn the respect, gain the Kwan, and get shown the money. Without money you cannot buy things for your family to be comfortable.

Going into the next season S15, Rod Tidwell knew he was going back to Tijuana, since Austin wasn’t going to be a team until the following season. Tidwell was gearing up to have a monstrous campaign. Tijuana kept most of their players going into S15 and were hoping to have a magical season. The season started off really good as everyone was contributing equally. Tidwell was leading the league in receiving yards, Gump could not be stopped on the ground, and Slothface was hitting people into oblivion on defense. Unfortunately, they were stopped short of their goal of winning it all, but they had a good season none-the-less. Rod Tidwell, led the league in receiving yards, catching an amazing 1243 yards, a good 200 yards more than the next closest receiver. He was up for WRotY in the DSFL and it will be highway robber is Rod doesn’t win that award. Rod Tidwell, was sad to end his career in the DSFL for Tijuana without winning a championship, but he is ready and excited for the next phase and chapter in his career.

This is were we talk about the new expansion franchise, the Austin Copperheads. Entering their first year in the NSFL, Rod Tidwell expects to have a decent year, though it may be a bit tough at first. The Copperheads have done a lot to make sure their offense is at least a little potent and is set up for years to come. Rod Tidwell is excited to team up with Easton Cole, Chase Jensen, and the vet Dick Wizardry. These 4 aim to bring everything they have to the Copperheads. New additions are on their way to Austin and the hope is that we can surprise the league and win some games. Rod Tidwell, needs to win, its in his bones. He is hoping that the stupid franchise in Arizona never wins, because they passed on Rod Tidwell. This would make him happy. Rod Tidwell needs to be happy, have respect, have the money, and get the Kwan. The Austin Copperheads have the Kwan, no other team in the NSFL can say that. Long live the Kwan, Long Live the Copperheads, and long live Rod “the bod” “show me the money” “money” Tidwell.
