*Fear the Wraiths Pt.2-Inside Action - KillaScrilla - 07-24-2019

Thanks for reading part one of Fear the Wraiths. I hope you enjoyed and now we have part two of the piece. This week we sit down with RB Jerrod Canton.

AJ: Thank you Mr.Canton for allowing me some time to ask you a few questions.

JC: My pleasure to be here Action. I’ll answer what I can the best I can.

AJ: I spoke with the GM last week about the teams first pick and he said that he was developing on par with where he should be. Do you agree with that assessment and how has he fit into the locker room?

JC: I haven’t had many personal interactions with him but the ones I did have was great. He’s been a great teammate and has a great attitude, which in this league great attitude and work ethic will get you a long ways. As for development, well I don’t get paid enough to be a professional scout so I’ll leave that to them to answer.

AJ: Fair enough JC, moving on then. How would you rate his performance so far? How about your performance?

JC: His performance I’d say is right where you’d expect a rookie DE to be. We try to put him in a position to play to his strengths and mitigate his weakness, just like any young player. I myself am not lighting the league on fire but I believe I’m a core contributor on offense
.
AJ: Is this team headed in the right direction and does the coach have everyone’s trust?

JC: Look I believe we are headed up. We are poised for a playoff run and have a young core that’s getting better and better. Its been rough with the drought around here but we are, and I believe and stand by this, we are poised for a ultimis run in the next few seasons. We absolutely believe in our coaches but we also have a core leadership team that helps keep everyone on the same page, to bring the chip home.

AJ: Having only a year left on your contract do you see yourself remaining here?

JC: I haven’t thought about it honestly. I’ll asses my future closer to then but right now I’m just enjoying this season and my teammates.

AJ: Whats a weak spot and anyone you want them to draft in particular?

JC: Probably CB play if I had to choose. WR/TE when some contracts expire but we don’t have many honestly. Again I’m not a scout nor paid to do it. I honestly cant name anyone in the DSFL. I’m not that guy that scouts everyone.

AJ: Well thanks JC for taking time out to answer these for me and thanks to the Wraiths organization for allowing him time out of practice to do it. I know you have to get back to work so I won’t waste anymore of your time.

JC: Thank you for allowing me this opportunity and hope to see you on the field one day.

Thanks for reading this piece on the Wraiths. Next week I’ll be with another team. Catch me then to see who it is. This is Action Jackson for Inside Action. For my fans, I’m out.
