Something that I noticed outright that I don't like, his drop shadow hits the edge of his canvas, leaving that obvious line at the top. It happens but it isn't that hard to fix. Just scale the image down so it isn't close to the edges, or expand your canvas. I also don't know about the white one on the left side of the render. Was that a choice or a bad cut? I can't tell to be honest.
BG-wise, it is really dark. I think maybe a tad much. Maybe add some more yellows to it? Spitballing here.
The Text has interesting placement, but I'm not sold since the O in O'Leary feels a tad too obscured IMO.
Jersey swap is present, but the logo needs to pop more on the swap. Also, I think you need to look at your cut around the player's right elbow. I see some red and blue that I imagine should not be there.

I think, with this render, you should have went with the idea that we are looking up at the "sig" so some perspective warping and 3-d text would have worked for that, but enough about my ideas. I think you are doing something interesting here having the render out of the bg like this. Just needs some refining, and maybe lower the opacity on your drop shadows.
