As we all know, the Wiki PT is a cool way to make 10 easy"ish" TPE. I try to have my player page updated every season, with the stats and some other stuff.

I guess the point of the NSFL Wiki is to try to have players maintain their page updated as an info guide about the players (and not only, but I'm focusing on that) for everyone, new and old players.

But, as we all know, as soon as you get that sweet TPE for creating the page, you can pretty much never go there again, so there's a lot of wiki pages created that were never updated, as nothing can be earned from that.

My suggestion is to give something, either a small amount of TPE or a couple million every season (at a certain given point, like week 3 or 4) to everyone who updates their page with last season stats or something. Basically something to push people to keep their page updated.

Strong agree. Partially because I just finished updating my Wiki page for my career to this point Smile

I will probably post my whole Wiki (link in my signature) as a media post in the future because I do think we should be rewarded some way for it.

I just did the same and that's when i decided to stroll a bit on other player pages and the majority of it had the "layout" with some info, got the 10 TPE and that's it.

I'm definitely guilty of ignoring my wiki post-tpe claim. Extra tpe or money to update it would be great. For now it seems more convenient to just use the drop-down tab thing in my sig

Wouldn’t say no to some extra TPE

2 TPE a season to maintain

to be honest that wouldn't be that hard as long if we included a code for the less technologically inclined .

On the broader point I agree. The Wiki is cool but underutilized.

Definitely agree.

I love the wiki, and always keep mine (for both my player and GM character) always updated. But I am probably the only one who reads it.

Probably would only need to teach people how to add a new section for NSFL Career, but outside of that it's just narrative.

As an aside, I updated good ole' Micycle's wiki all the time, but I sure can't be assed to update Wolfie's. A small TPE incentive is something I could get behind. I know (at least I'm pretty sure) there's a media payout for wiki updates but TPE is something tangible that users can feel accomplished about.

Fun fact: I suggested this when the wiki was created, and still think it should be a thing.

The existing template can be adjusted for this if people are having trouble figuring out how to update things (though the stats tables are a bit trickier and I haven't got round to simplifying that yet)

Really though, you just need narrative updates. A season summary or whatever

TPE might not be the best incentive, given how little people would need to add each year, typically (though I don't see a problem with 2 extra TPE per season personally). I know HO have been wary of TPE inflation in the past though so I kinda avoid suggesting more TPE now tbh. But then, if you don't offer TPE... for those who don't need the cash, there's no real point to it.

I'm currently working on seeing if I can incentivise more interaction with the wiki in general, though. Like opening up nominations for featured articles, or fact suggestions. Not sure how to pay these things out yet though.
