*The Draft Day Bucaneer - siddhus - 12-02-2019

Siddhu Sarvepally? My name echoed through the draft room. I was drafted. Sure they had some problems pronouncing my name, but at the end who cared. I was a buccaneer. Not gonna lie, first I had to search up where Myrtle Beach was. I wasn't expecting to be drafted there, after being contacted by other teams before the draft. But alas I was a Buccaneer now.

Not even a second passed, and I got a call from the GM. Just based on his voice, I knew the journey would be fun. He asked me a few questions but I wasn't paying attention. I was just thinking about how cool it would be to be a pirate. I got onto the ship and I was officially a pirate.

I got on and was welcomed by the crew. Their old sailor had left so now me and another rookie would be manning the sails running through all the boats. The crew told me that we would have lots of fun here, and our team was very good. I trusted them completely and was waiting for the process to be fulfilled. With an Elite QB and WR manning the hull, I was ready to take the back seat this season.

But my captain believed in me, he said that this season I would be getting some stats, so I can go for RotY, Rookie of the Year. We were going to go over some of the basics of sailing later on. Those tips would, in the long run, help me a lot. But when I first joined the team, I ran away for a few days, only contacting them on Discord. I had no idea what to do. I was scared of change. Back in San Jose, we didn't have any pirates. And the league I played in college operated differently than the DSFL. But over time, I began to embrace the change. I realized there is beauty in doing things differently. So I came back.

Everyone was happy to see me back. But after I ditched them, I knew I had to prove myself to show that I should be the one that . gets the most carries. Now for just some goals for the season:
1.1000+ yards
2. RotY if there is a RotY award
3. Make it to at least the semifinals
4. Be a Top Prospect for next season
5. Have fun
