Fantasy Wrap-up - Week 6

Top 20 Performers

Here we have our top 20 performers over the first 6 weeks of the season.

We have some major trends forming here with QBs and RBs showing their value as they take over the leaderboards.

Top Performer/QB - Franklin Armstrong - What more can be said about Frankie boy... a 25 point lead over 2nd and a 50 point lead over the next best QB Wolfie McDummy. Armstrong is making his owners happy with the top overall score while holding an 8th overall draft ranking.

Top RB - Ludicolo Bigby - Despite all the pre-draft hype about Torenson, Bigby has been the star fantasy running back this season with 125.4 points, good for 2nd overall and tops among backs, this has fantasy owners who drafted this running back in the 20's and 30's laughing all the way to the bank.

Top WR - Errol Maddox - After finding himself on the Disappointment Squad week 1 with only 2 points, Maddox has shown why he earned that 5th overall draft ranking. Maddox leads all receivers with 83.7 points as he guides the Hawks to a solid 5-1 record placing them atop the NSFC.

Top TE - Johnny Blaze - Johnny has shown consistently that he is the top fantasy TE this season but the question is does his 63 points (36th) justify his 12th overall selection?

Top K - Alex D. - There is no question Alex has a leg on him, drafted at an average 50th slot, his 77 points pegs him firmly as the league's top kicker, and 18th overall. The numbers this kicker has put up makes him one of the steals of the draft!

Top DEF - NOLA - Despite falling to the mid-late picks among defenses, NOLA has put up a league leading 83.4 points good for 15th overall.

PERFECT TEAM

QB - Armstrong (150.46)
RB - Bigby (125.4)
WR1 - Maddox (83.7)
WR2 - Oles (77.9)
TE - Blaze (63)
FLEX - Torenson (107.8)
K - Alex D (77)
DEF - NOLA (83.4)

TOTAL Points - 768.66

Top 20 Busts

The busts are the player who were drafted high but haven't been able to come through for their owners... here is our Top 20 List

QB - Cooter Bigsby (84.6) - I don't think too many people will be too sad about having the 13th best player this year, but with many owners spenidng a first round pick on the QB, a QB like McDummy would went late in the draft and put up the 4th highest score is much better bang for your buck.

RB - Farley Hank (23.1) - Hank has been a bit of a bust this year, slotting into many people's FLEX spot he's only put up 23.1 points. Hank found himself drafted in the top 30 picks in a couple drafts and has the worst point total among drafted RBs.

WR - Tommy Helanen (36) - Tommy has had a rough start to the year this year with much of the action going to teammate Nate Swift and Sunnycursed. A great problem if you are yellowknife, not so great if you are a Helanen fantasy owner.

TE - Earl Sauce (15.3) - The Sauce man has had struggles this year and his 15.3 points are not helping any owner's fantasy title chances... The TE group is very top heavy this year, and Sauce is not in the mix.

K - Baxter Frost (27) - Frost is the only kicker this year not living up to his draft position, lowest among drafted kickers with only 27 points. Kickers are a bit inconsistent in fantasy, but Frost has been consistent... consistently bad.

DEF - Yellowknife (49.4) - There was a lot of hype around the Yellowknife defense, but the hype hasn't translated into fantasy points as the highest avg drafted defense has put up the 2nd least amount of points among drafted defenses.

DISAPPOINTMENT SQUAD

QB - Cooter Bigsby (84.6)
RB - Farley Hank (23.1)
WR1 - Tommy Helanen (36)
WR2 - Sweet James-Jones (34.6)
TE - Earl Sauce (15.3)
FLEX - Vinny Valentine (43.7)
K - Baxter Frost (27)
DEF - Yellowknife (49.4)

TOTAL POINTS - 313.7

Top 20 Surprises

QB - Wolfie McDummy - A lack of faith in the Colorado QB landed him in the 51st draft position slot, but the 16th highest ranked TPE player has found himself performing out of his mind, scoring the 4th most fantasy points among all positions (104.82). Fantasy Owners will be pumped about this production.

RB - Alex Danielsson - Chicago has been struggling on the scoreboard but no one can blame Danielsson who has put up a stellar 87.7 points, good for 12th best among all players. He'll be hitting regression soon, but for now he's doing his part.

WR - Brock Landers - In a down year for receivers where most are performing well below their draft position, Landers has been a pleasant surprise. Landers has had the 49th highest score over the first 6 weeks 14 slots ahead of his 63rd draft position ranking.

TE - Declan Harp - Had to go pretty deep into the list to find a TE that was over preforming, and it become pretty evident why TEs fell pretty deep in the draft. Out of the pack Harp was the best.

K - ForThe Brand - The kicker steal of the draft has racked up a smooth 67 points, good for 28th overall, ForThe Brand has become the steal at 64th overall draft ranking.

DEF - NOLA - New Orleans has looked solid on the defensive side of the ball putting up the 15th highest overall score with 83.4 points. Will this historically good season for New Orleans change the mentality of the drafters next year?

HAPPY SQUAD

QB - Wolfie McDummy (104.82)
RB - Alex Danielsson (87.7)
WR1 - Brock Landers (46.7)
WR2 - Josh Parker (64.5)
TE - Declan Harp (26.9)
FLEX - Ludicolo Bigby (125.4)
K - ForThe Brand (67)
DEF - NOLA (83.4)

TOTAL POINTS - 606.42

I personally like it with the origin TPE still there. Gives you more of an idea of what people were looking at when the season started versus what it looks like right now!
