*First Loss- Randy Vuxta WR - roastfuego - 12-12-2019

Randy Vuxta has been having some struggles in the last two games, putting up only two catches for twenty yards. But the more important stat for him were the two wins. Randy spent the next weeks working out and trying to step up his game. You will not be able to make it in this league putting up a performance like that Randy thought. As such, Randy went to great lengths on the ball catching machine and the treadmill, working on his speed and acceleration to get his break away speed.

Randy kept a positive attitude heading into a must win game against Myrtle Beach. Randy also had some discussion with Kacey Dream, and both were excited to match off against each other. At first it seemed that the two were going to have a rivalry, but Randy was humbled by Dream, seeing his many awards and reading numerous media articles by him. Heading into the game, Randy spent some time with his quarterback to make a stronger rapport. The two spent time going through drills, and eating dinner together the week before. The two also spent more time together then Randy usually did with his fellow rookies.

The game started off going back and forth, staying quite close. But then Myrtle Beach pulled away. Dream scored a pick six, congrats to him. But Randy also put up over 50 yards and a TD himself. So the two both put up great performances, but Dream walked away with the more important stat: the win and the number one seed.

Afterwards, Randy and the other Luchadores locker room was not its usual lighthearted aura. Randy was the most disappointing, taking the bulk of the loss. As a rookie, Randy had never lost a game in the NSFL before. This loss was not the same as losing in the college game.

"If I had just caught more passes or got more open" Randy said.

But lucky for Randy, the greatest GMs in history stepped forward to insure that it will be alright. We still get to play MB once more before the season is over. Also, this was not a home loss so we can keep our heads up with that home field advantage. Even Blaylock came up to tell Randy to keep himself up for the next week game. After being approached by veterans and the GMs, Randy understood that losses come with the game. You will not always win the game, but you have to try your best no matter the outcome of the game.

If anything this loss has brought the team closer together, especially after losing a key GM in their front office. Now there is no pressure to stay undefeated and the team has a mission to fight for: to knock off Myrtle Beach and win back the number one seed. Now they enter every game knowing they cannot take another loss to stay in the fight with Myrtle Beach. Also, Randy discovered a new contact on a different team in Kacey Dream. Being able to market yourself to other individuals, even those on other teams, can come back to help you sometime down the line when attempting to make it in the NSFL.

The Luchadores came back the week after with a win over the Seawolves. Randy had less yards, but secured another receiving TD. The entire team came back, on both offense and defense. Numerous interceptions, sacks and rushing yards were accumulated that week. After the week was over, Kyle Ideylwyld began leading the league in TFL and Randy regained the lead in receiving TDs with 4. Overall the loss helped to humble the young receiver and the team, setting them up for success in the future.
