*S20 Wing of Honor Induction - Duilio05 - 01-19-2020

A lot of Hawk players retired this past season. A few started their career at Baltimore before leaving via free agency, trade or the expansion draft; and others played at other locations before ending in Baltimore. For a few lucky players, they were able to spend their entire career in Baltimore. I want to say thank you to following players that I have had the privilege to either play with and or be the GM for.

Vinny Valentine played his first 6 seasons as a Hawk. @Unicorn
Arbin Asipi III spent the last 6 seasons of his career in Baltimore. @DeathOnReddit
Ben Horne, part of S08 class, was a Hawk for 5 seasons of his incredibly long career. @iseedoug
Marquise Brown, including the previous four mentioned players, was part of the Hawk's S15 Ultimus team. @YoungTB
Dorfus Jimbo was with us for far too short a time. @ScorpXCracker
At the end of this season Xandra Troyski is expected to retire, along with D’Pez Poopsie, and Fatih Terim(also S15 Champion) recently announced he will be done too. @mabb @Muford @Eco

Thank you for being a Hawk.

There is one Baltimore Hawk who stands out from the rest of his retiring peers. It has been three seasons since GMs Icy Douglas and Epictitus Milburn inducted the last class to Wing of Honor.

Quote:The Wing of Honor instituted in S10, enshrines those players for the Baltimore Hawks who demonstrate leadership and character off the field, high quality of play, and dedication to the Hawks organization by playing at least half of their career with the team.

Admission to the group is purposefully high, and the distinction is great.

The current members of the Wing of Honor are:

Class of S10:
BAL BAL BAL Turk Turkleton
BAL BAL BAL Owen Taylor
BAL BAL BAL Antoine Delacour

Class of S13:
BAL BAL BAL Avon Blocksdale

Class of S17

This is the greatest Honor I have had so far as Baltimore’s GM. I present to the league and to Hawk alumni, Verso L’Alto @nunccoepi, Wing of Honor, Class of S20

Quote:"For the early part of my career - I was always missing a tight end security blanket. Eventually we drafted L'Alto a second overall and he blossomed and helped me a ton. There's no coincidence we didn't win it all til L'Alto got here. And man he was so much more than just a great player. Not only is he arguably the best Tight End of all time, he was an even better teammate. Dominant TE on the field and always willing to help everyone off the field. He continued to lead and dominate for this team almost his whole career. I am so proud that he's a Wing of Honor guy. Congrats."

Quote:"as the GM of Baltimore I would say that drafting L'Alto was the 2nd worst mistake of my tenure only behind agreeing to become GM in the first place"
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]- Trey Willie @ItsJustBarry[/div]

[div align=\\\"center\\\"]- Antoine Delacour @37thchamber[/div]

Quote:"Drafting him one was of the last things I remembered before my alien abduction."
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]- Kurt Hendrix @HENDRIX @HENDRIX 2.0[/div]

Quote:'At one point when you mentioned tight end, L'Alto was on everyone's mind. A legend on and off the field. Verso has done a ton for the organization as a whole, I'm proud to have shared a locker room with him and shared the game of football with him.'
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]- Turk Turkleton @Raven[/div]

Wow what an honor, something I could have only dreamt of--especially with the sheer number of talented Hawks both past and present.

Thank you all.
