*Interview with Matt Cross - J0EB - 02-18-2020

Good Morning and thank you for listening to the 5-7 Podcast with your host, Johnny "100 Agility" Jones. Today I have special guest and rookie prospect Matt "Son of Havoc" Cross! He plays Safety and is excited to hopefully get drafted into the DSFL.

Q. What is the story behind your nickname "Son of Havoc"?
A. Well you see Johnny, in high school I played both football and wrestling, and my ring name was "Son of Havoc" I was undefeated as a freshman and devastated the competition, so me and some buddies of mine were joking around trying to come up with cool names for each other and "Son of Havoc" popped up and I loved it. They all agreed that it was quite fitting as well since I had been undefeated that year.

Q. With such a promising career in wrestling, what caused the switch over to football?
A. Ah man that's a tough question there. Honestly, I've always had such passion for both sports and got scholarships as a prospect for both going into college. I ended up choosing football after a long talk with my father. When it came down to it I just love football barely more than I love wrestling. Being out there on the field with your team just has that special feeling you know, and it's something I couldn't let go of.

Alright one last question before we have to wrap up today's Prospect Interview so I'm going to select a random question that was sent in from the audience. *pulls a piece of paper out of a hat*

Q. Which team do you hope to one day play for?
A. Being from Arizona, I've always watched the Outlaws and would absolutely love to go on to play for them. I know that I have a tough road in front of me though and would be happy to play for any team professionally.

Well thank you for coming to the show today Matt, I look forward to having you back here in the future.

That was today's Prospect Interview with Matt Cross, S. Thank you for listening, I hope to see you, my audience, back here as well. When you may ask? 5-7. I'm Johnny Jones, signing off.
