Michael Whiteblock, the Austrian wide receiver prospect in the S22 draft class took an uncommon way for the possibility to shine in the DSFL and NSFL. Born in the small village of Lichtenau, mostly known for its farms and production of milk, Michael early showed his athletic skills. He not only participated in athletic school competitions, he dominated them. At the age of 8 he won the Upper Austrian wide trisport (sprinting, long jump and ball throwing) event. From then on, the regional competitions weren’t enough for him anymore. He continued to shine countrywide and win almost any competition there was, as long as it had something to do with sprinting, jumping or even throwing.

But athletics wasn’t enough for the rising star. At high school, he found a new passion for him. A local football team got the interest of Michael, and from that time on nothing could bring him away from training for his new passion: making his way from Austria to the NSFL.
As college, Michael chose the University of Applied Science Hagenberg and joined their football team as Quarterback. Beside football, he completed the Mobile Computing program. As Quarterback, he led the Hagenberg Hunters to the Championship in his first year. But for his dream to become a star in the NSFL he decided, to switch positions as at Wide Receiver he can bring all his strengths on the field. His second year wasn’t that successful team-wise, but Michael broke the single season record for receiving yards (1565) and touchdowns (19). In his third and last year of University, he racked up even higher numbers and got to 1673 receiving yards and 21 Touchdowns.

His strengths for sure are his hands and his frame of 6'2" and 200 lbs, which he already proved in his stint at college. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Engineering, he decided to enter the draft process in the DSFL to enter the NSFL in a year.
