The concept is there, but the render quality isn't great and it looks like you’ve tried to conceal that with an oil painting filter or something like that. The line work looks fine on the left, but again the quality drops when you look at the diagonal lines near the middle. The text used for the number is a good start, but I don't think it was as good of a choice for the smaller text in the team name. The player name text also doesn't really work together with it, and there is a lot of empty space both around the player and around the text. Giving the team logo its own rendered "container" or just giving it more contrast to the gray background could also help the look out. I do like the effort to make this work well with the drop down though, that’s pretty cool.
