Good evening ladies and gentlemen I’m Richie Calhoun, the host of Sports Talk Radio! In a developing story tonight, Dallas Birddogs defensive tackle Big “Snack” Edd is requesting a trade.
Sources close to the situation have told me the request came late Friday evening seemingly out of nowhere. This came as quite a surprise to Dallas fans, who had taken a liking to the rising star. Kathy942 on twitter said. “I’m surprised as anyone, but maybe it speaks to something we’re not seeing.”
Another fan tweeted “It’s a shame to see, but I’ll support him wherever he goes.”
A league source has told me that there does not seem to be any immediate interest in a trade before the week nine deadline. That same source also tells me Big Edd wants to be sent to Myrtle Beach. Though Dallas seems hesitant to trade unless a fair offer is given.
Fans are led to speculate as to why Edd would want to leave. Many have come to the conclusion that the most likely scenario is that Snacks was unhappy with the team's 2-4 record. Whatever the case may be, fans across the country are upset. These next few weeks before the deadline will certainly be interesting.
