Hi. I see a lot of MoVP avatars. Too many. I understand voter fatigue is a probably a thing, but this is, in my opinion, the wrong season to suffer from it. To illustrate my point I compiled all the efficiency stats that are easily accessible/calculable by copy/pasting the index. Why efficiency stats, spec? Largely because it's otherwise impossible to really compare across eras. Quarterbacks in a league where every team has so many talented players aren't going to be able to put up the same type of volume as quarterbacks who played before nerfs to the passing game or during times where there was a much clearer separation between the top of the league and bottom. Plus the 13 games vs 14 games can skew things a little bit as well.

I'm also doing it because I sincerely believe Franklin Armstrong just had the most efficient - not necessarily the best (that honor probably still belongs to either Childish Gambino's S15 or Mat Akselsen's S8), but the most efficient - passing season in the entire history of the NSFL en route to securing OCO the #1 overall seed in the playoffs. And as his teammate, I'd like to make the case for him so he doesn't have to. Probably like 95% of people who read this won't even be voting, but whatever. Also, even if you refused to vote for Armstrong for whatever reason, look at the numbers posted by Corvo Havran, Stan Francisco, and Wolfie McDummy. QB play was unbelievable this season.

Also before I get into this I do generally think that Passer Rating is kind of a garbage stat because it over-weights completion percentage but for most of the guys on that top ten, the numbers hold up even looking at each component individually.

hi
the otters passed the least amount this season, could this be due to the smaller sample size?

I wondered the same thing actually, but generally it doesn't look like there's necessarily a benefit to fewer attempts. Here's the first I'm-not-sure-how-many QB seasons sorted by attempts ascending. There is definitely going to be some bias in here toward QBs who suck because obviously you want to limit passing with them, but I think there are enough intersections of good QBs in seasons with high TPE to illustrate the general idea

At a glance, I think if you added attempts per game to the table, most of these lines would work out to between 25-35 attempts per game. Most seem to have between 350-450 attempts total; 350/14 = 25, 450/13 = ~35.

Without actually calculating the figures, I'd estimate 389/13 is within one standard deviation of the median, or not far off.

What was S14 Childish Gambino's int rating? I thought it was around 1.4% tying him for 10th place and also putting him on all 5 leaderboards
