Deepest Position: Cornerback
Obviously. Six cornerbacks would be justifiable as a first-round pick. Over half of the active class is over 200 TPE.
Shallowest Position: Wide Receiver/Linebacker
Last week this was an easy choice. But the ends showed up this week in the updates and the position is solid at the top, albeit not deep. This week was much tougher. Wide Receiver seemed counterintuitive at first, as it is the largest position class with 18 players. However, the talent is not deep. Only 22% of WR’s have cracked the 200 TPE mark, only better than LB at 21% (excluding K/P and TE). The linebackers have some very good options at the top, but drop off hard and fast after Tier 2.
Takeaways:
There are now FORTY-TWO players with over 200 TPE. 3+ rounds. Teams are going to be getting first round value into the middle rounds. Not much else to say. 11 days till draft day!
