An actual Breakout Award - C9Van - 04-15-2020
I seem to be having a rough few days with this bloody league lol. Hopefully I go back to having fun like I was.
Anyway the award did not happen for DSFL for some reason. That is 1 big issue with it. Why not? Why are we having awards but not for the minors?
It also seems to be the red headed step child of awards cause by the sounds of it just did not really get discussed whatsoever. (You also cannot tell me that Lazzy is not at the very least in nomination for this. I have literally done fuck all of note for 5+ seasons with the Yeti in nothing but wasted time to a 1000+ yards 7 TD season. Now I agree that is not good enough to make WROTY award, I think I am just out of reach of the better 5 WRs but you will not find 4-5 players who improved by this amount last season. Someone beats Lazzy? Sure could happen but you're not getting many more over him.)
My actual suggestion for this bollocks:
1 - Have GMs nominate the person they think could be a contender (or two if its close) and have the awards committee look at who is the breakout player properly rather than by the sounds of it guessing.
or
2 - Get rid of the award like for some unknown reason it is in DSFL
