This past weekend was the midpoint update of the DSFL season. With half of the regular season gone I was curious about which teams drafted well and which teams whiffed on their picks. I decided to break down the draft. All numbers are current as of May 10th. The numbers I use for a player’s TPE at draft time comes from our notes in Dallas, so they may be marginally off. In general, however, they should be a fair representation of the TPE a player had going into the draft.
The date of each player's last update is included - data per the TPE tracker. If a player did not update this past week I included the date they were last seen.

In the first round the Dallas Birddogs selected the player with the highest amount of TPE at draft time of all first-round players with their selection of Tyler Montain. He had 108TPE at draft time and has gained 105TPE thus far in the season for a total of 213TPE – making him the second highest overall TPE player in the class.
In the first round the London Royals selected the player with the second lowest TPE of all players in the first round with their selection of Greedy Sly first overall. At draft time he had 77TPE but has gained a ridiculous 143TPE throughout the season to lead the class with 220TPE total.
The player with the least total TPE at draft time selected in the first round was Walter Chestnut III who was selected by the Minnesota Grey Ducks. He had 57TPE at draft time and has gained 78TPE throughout the season for a total of 135TPE. He is the lowest total TPE player selected in the first round at this point of the season.
Griffin Porter, who was selected fourth overall by the Tijuana Luchadores, has earned the least total TPE since the draft. At draft time he had 97TPE total and has earned 69TPE throughout the season for a total of 166TPE.
Only one player in the first round has missed an update. CJ Riley, who was selected 5th overall by the Portland Pythons, missed his last update. He had 81TPE at draft time and has earned 75TPE during the season for a total of 156TPE.

The London Royals 2nd round selection of Bob Bob had the lowest amount of TPE at draft time. He had 68TPE when picked and has earned 94TPE during the season for a total of 162TPE.
The Portland Pythons selected the player with the highest TPE at draft time in the second round. Heinrich Kackpoo was selected 13th overall and had 131TPE at draft time. He has earned 79TPE throughout the season for a total of 210TPE.
The Minnestoa Grey Ducks selected Joe Exotic 11th overall. He has the lowest TPE currently of any selection from the 2nd round. At draft time he had 78TPE. He has earned 25TPE throughout the season for a total of 103TPE. He is also the only player from the second round who has missed updating. His last update was April 25th, although he was seen on the site May 10th.
Bane Ka’ana’ana has gained the most TPE of any player in the second round since the draft. The Tijuana Luchadores’ selection has gained 108TPE since the draft time and has a total of 190TPE at this point of the season.

Carl Wheezer, who was selected 23rd overall by the Kansas City Coyotes, has earned the most TPE since the draft of any third-round selection. He has earned a total of 121TPE during the season for a total of 188TPE on the season.
The Portland Python’s third round selection, Kayleb Dotson, has earned the least total TPE since the draft. He has earned 33TPE since the draft for a total of 98TPE on the year.

The Portland Pythons 4th round selection, Omar Wright Jr., had the most TPE at draft time of any player in the fourth round with 104TPE. He has also earned the least TPE during the season of any fourth-round pick with only 25TPE. He has 129TPE on the season and has not updated since May 2nd.
The Dallas Birddogs selected the player who has earned the most TPE since the draft of all fourth-round selections when they picked Raphael d’Alcott. He has earned 102TPE since draft time for 171TPE on the year. He also switched positions from wide receiver to safety.
The Norfolk Seawolves selected the player who had the lowest total TPE of all fourth-round selections at draft time. Braxton Sinclair only had 50TPE at draft time but has earned 101 during the season for 151TPE total. He has not updated since May 2nd, however.

The Portland Pythons selected the player who had the highest total TPE of any 7th round pick at draft time with their pick of Mac Griddle 53rd overall. Three ninth round selections updated during the last update period. Bradley Owens of the Dallas Birddogs updated, Quanter Skrills – a RB - of the Norfolk Seawolves updated, and Charmin Glassley – a QB - of the Kansas City Coyotes. Skrills has earned 59TPE since the draft for a total of 111TPE. Glassley has earned 13TPE since the draft for a total of 70TPE. He is active but has mysteriously not played a snap for the Coyotes.

The Dallas Birddogs selected the player with the highest amount of TPE at draft time of all tenth-round selections with their pick of Rice Ahoc-Machine. He had 74TPE at draft time and has not earned any TPE since then. He was recently traded for the Minnesota Grey Ducks for Arik Eller and Chad Thaddsson.

The Dallas Birddogs and Myrtle Beach Buccaneers round out the top 3 with 1361TPE and 1220TPE respectively. The Norfolk Seawolves drafted the least amount of total TPE with 1151TPE. The Kansas City Coyotes and Portland Pythons round out the bottom 3 with 1157TPE and 1176TPE respectively.
The Dallas Birddogs have been the best at developing their draft picks. Their draft picks have gained a total or 775TPE – good for first amongst all teams - and an average of 70.45TPE – good for second behind Myrtle Beach’s 70.67TPE per.
The Portland Pythons drafted the highest overall TPE players on average. At draft time each of their picks averaged 73.20TPE. They’ve been the worst at developing their draft picks however, with their draft gaining 444TPE over the course of the season. Each of their draft picks has averaged a gain of 44.40TPE.

Yeah I talked to AsylumParty this morning. There's some noise in the data because the spreadsheet on my end was updated on April 19th. Draft started April 18th and aired the 22nd. Once you got drafted we stopped updating the internal number because it had no bearing on us anymore - we couldn't draft you anymore.
I also started in Sunday morning at like 2am and got through the first 5ish picks before stopping and finishing it last night. I know his number was off then, for example, because apparently it hadn't gone through on the tracker yet.
If you know of any other Lucha players who are wrong on this let me know and I'll update it accordingly. I don't want y'all get a short end of the stick on anything. The goal of the piece was more to show how many in the class were still active and earning while giving a rough number about how much they had earned/where they were at now.
