Welcome back to Chris' Casino Analysis, I'm your host, Chris Ramos, aka PointGod. I have been betting at the NSFL Casino since it started, with mixed results so far. After losing some money, I figured the best way to gain it back is to write about how the casino has gone down so far for people who have been patronizing it. I will be writing these articles one casino day or NSFL week at a time, so be sure to check back here to see the results each week. I will link each past article here as well for ease of accessibility. Of course, this is the first one so there is nothing yet.

Now we are taking a look at Week 5, which was the second week the NSFL Casino was open. These were the available bets for Week 5:

O/U 32.5 points combined (+100)For anyone unaware of how betting works, I'll break it down for you in the simplest terms possible. For example, if you bet on the Outlaws +13.5, they have to win or at least not lose by fourteen or more points. It is as if the game is starting Outlaws 13.5, Otters 0. Betting on a team that is "getting" points, or has a plus sign next to their odds will be a more profitable return if you win, considering they are not favored to win the game. The Outlaws/Otters game, in this case, $1 M on Arizona wins $3 M in profit and $1 M on Orange County wins $500 K in profit.
Ok, so before we look at who bet what and what the big plays of the night were, let us look at how these games ended up finishing. This week, every game was able to be wagered on, contrasting from Week 4. I will also list the total points scored in these games. Not every game had the chance to pick an over/under total, which is one of the major differences between this NSFL casino and an actual Sports Book in which you could theoretically bet on anything. However, the total points listed can help you get a feel of the sweet spots or averages of how many points were scored.

Now, let's take a look at who bet what: (*note* Wager amounts have been updated. From this week forward, users had three options when betting. They could bet 250 K, 1 M or 5 M) Over/under pays out 1:1. The point spreads had a different pay scale which, again, I will post here in order to easily see how much people won and lost.

Ok, so that's all the bets for this week. Out of 68 bets (compared to 48 last week) that were placed by this variety of users, 29 cashed out. That is 29/68, or 43%. 43% isn't really much of a number to feel comfortable hanging your hat on. A majority of the bets DID NOT cash, and most of the 43% was comprised of one particular bet. Of course, a higher percentage of people still profited this week because of the big payout. Further diagnostic results will be kept track of as I keep writing these articles and the season goes on.

There won't be many bad spots here since so many people were able to cash out and profit even if they just made a little money. That's the danger of casinos, they suck you in! This article is written 100% objectively, though, and it is incredibly likely I will continue to bet.

Hidden gem of Week 5:

Don't always shy away from picking a favorite, the Wraiths showed why. They just barely barely covered the spread, but they did, making this a good pick for three people.
Biggest trap of Week 5:
+5.5 (+150) (12 BETTORS) DID NOT CASHConversely, the Liberty just barely missed covering the spread against a tough YKW team. Twelve people fell into this trap and were quite disappointed with the final score.
Missed opportunity of Week 5:
@ O 47.5 points combined (+100) CASHEDThis is the only bet that nobody picked that ended up cashing... and again, I can see why nobody picked it. 48 points is A LOT to score, but so many of this week's games ended up eclipsing this figure. Interesting stuff.

(-13.5) (-200) DID NOT CASHThis sim is so variable, and even against a weaker Outlaws team, that offense has still proven able to score. 14 points is a ton to cover. Good call, everyone.
