As a coverage linebacker, I noticed that there are some huge discrepancies between LB and S.

LB:
Tackles: 90 or more
Tackles For Loss: 5 or more
Forced Fumbles: 2 or more
Passes Defended: 5 or more
Sacks: 6 or more
Interceptions: 2 or more

S:
Tackles: 40 or more
Tackles For Loss: 1 or more
Forced Fumbles: 1 or more
Fumbles Recovered: 1 or more
Passes Defended: 4 or more
Interceptions: 3 or more

To get full TPE, a linebacker needs 50 more tackles, 4 more tackles for loss, 1 more forced fumble, and 1 more pass defended.

Safeties just need 1 more interception.

Can we fix this?

Because a ton more is asked of one position than the other.

If you see the sim, linebackers are infinitely more involved in the play is why. They get way higher stats.

I think with the way the milestones were set up they wanted to get about the top 40% of players in each category.

So for example any linebacker in the 60th percentile got around 90 tackles and can claim the PT

I think what they wanted was to give a certain percentage of players this TPE and so they just took that percentage and applied it to the season statistics.

Okay, here we go.

Last season, here's how those milestones worked.

50% of starting LBs made the tackling goal, 100% of safeties did
28% of LBs made the TFL goal, 33% of safeties did
33% of LBs made the FF goal, 67% of safeties did
44% of LBs made the PD goal, 42% of safeties did
17% of LBs made the int goal, 50% of safeties did.

Yeah linebacker goals were pretty tough. Did any linebacker get all 5 TPE?

But in fairness all linebackers were held to the same standard, so it's not like any one linebacker had an advantage.

I didn't check, but there was a 0.3% chance of that happening, compared to 4.6% of safeties, so safeties were about 15 times more likely to max bonuses, despite the fact that LBs were more active in building TPE and therefore should have been more successful.
