Ranking the top 5 rbs - Jbearly - 07-16-2017

Hello everyone! Welcome to jbears way too early rankings of running backs. Why am i ranking them? Because why not, i need money and it is super fun. Lets start off with number one
Bubba Nuck - Yellowknife Wraiths

Nuck definitely has to be the number one overall ranked running back after his dominant rookie season, winning the committee voted mvp and the rushing title. He was the only other running back to rush for over one thousand yards besides Vick bowers and Nuck still had 200 yards on him. Bubba was a complete work horse as he did not share carries with any other rb besides Jack Stats who got carries on the goal line. Nuck is looking to build on such a successful season and hopefully repeat as Most Valuable Player although it will be tough with some of the other names on this list. His strengths as a running back seems to be just to topple people over, not necessarily make them miss but more so make them hurt and regret attempting to tackle him. He does that better than almost anyone else as he is used to dragging much larger defenders around. He is one of the most active members, maybe not talking but his experience in sim leagues and being the general manager of the wraiths helps him alot. He is one of only two gms on this list. I expect him to rush for 1400 yards with 5 or 6 tds and a healthy 4.5 yard per carry average

2. Vick Bowers Jr - Most likely the Las Vegas legion

Vick is the only player on here with a sub 4 ypc, he was ran into the ground for a large part of the year by the sabercats due to subpar quarter back play. It wasnt until they got Ethan Hunt acquired in a deal that the passing attack picked up for the cats though this also hurt Bowers as he got less carries. He can be a great number 1 back but he definitely needs a line catered to rushing for his true talent to succeed, though his first year was very strong as he finished with over a thousand yards. Hes hoping to topple a thousand again while also bringing that yard per carry up as well. If he can do that then who knows, maybe he will topple Bubba Nuck for best running back in the National Sim football league? He definitely has the drive for it, lets see if he brings it to the table. I could easily see him with around 1500 combined yards, 300 receiving with around 12 hundred rushing. Though it depends on how the Legion choose to use Vick as a running back

3. Omar Wright - Philadelphia Liberty

Formerly on the Orange County Otters, Omar Wright was traded due to the expansion draft and worry hed be lost for nothing. Now, hes on a brand new team who really does not have many weapons so far and a qb in Jameis Christ who was pretty bad last year. This leads us to believe Omar will be the number one back for the first time in his career, he wasnt his first season with the Otters in which he still ran for 999 yards while adding in a couple touchdowns and 80 yard rushes. He also kills it in the return game, expect him to hit much more than 1000 with his being the main option on a new team. His high eighties speed is one of the best for a running back, hell be losing defenders and scoring touchdowns at a much higher clip. He, like every one else on this list, could be the best running back next year. His dedication to the league will also lead him to extreme success any where he goes to play. I could see him rushing for 1300 yards with a couple of special team touchdowns due to his immense speed that is only getting better

Leroy Jenkins - Orange County Otters

Leroy Jenkins is the running back left from the duo formerly known as the hot sauce committee. Now the Hot Sauce Comittee was dope as fuck as we all know. It consisted of both the number 3 [Omar Wright] and number four backs on this list [Leroy himself] They rushed for almost 2000 yards combined and both had a pro bowl season taking 2 of the 3 asfc slots for themselves. Though now Omar is gone, they are both going to be the number one options and sole options on their teams. Though Leroy will be unused to this as it was mainly Omar getting more carries last year. He is ready to shine with all the lights on him though, he put in a 900 yard season last year as the number two back as well as a 4.6 yard per carry average which was tied with Omar for the best. He scored a good amount of tds too as he is a bruising power back with 80 speed as well as 80 strength. One of the all around best running backs in the league as well as the biggest at 6’4 260 pounds. Leroy will be a touchdown fiend next year, expect him to lead next season with around 8 as well as a nice 4.6 yard per carry average with his thousand yard plus season. Also the hottest gif game in all the lands too

5. Marcus Robinson - Baltimore Hawks

Probably the most slept on running back in the league due to the team he plays on and the lack of pizazz to his game. Robinson is a balanced running back who put around 800 yards last year with a few touchdowns scored. The crappy baltimore offensive line is what really screwed Robinson up and led to his low 3.6 yard per carry average as well as his inactivity. Though his raw stats show he can produce if he stays active and puts time in to being the top running back in Baltimore but it does not look like he will. As you all
may have guessed the running back position drops off heavily after the first 4 near mvp worthy candidates
