*ASFC Team Needs - Tylus - 05-19-2020

Hello and welcome to Tylus and BenDover’s(Jamar Lackson) first official NSFL team needs list! We decided to make this list of team needs in preparation for a mock draft we will be releasing later. Today we'll be taking a look at part one, in which we will be discussing the ASFC teams and going through possible needs. We’ll be releasing part two, the NSFC’s team needs, within the next few days. We decided to split up the teams between us, so I’ll(Tylus) be examining Honolulu, New Orleans, and Orange County, and I (BenDover) will be taking a look at Arizona, Austin, and San Jose position by position. Most of these needs are based around players going inactive, retiring, or going into regression, and I am taking send downs into account. This list is based on our opinion, and based around our knowledge of the league and its functions as newer players, so feel free to let us know if you agree or disagree with anything we’ve said and why!

[div align=\\\"center\\\"] ARI Arizona Outlaws ARI[/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By BenDover)[/div]

QB - At the moment, Arizona boasts one of the youngest rosters in the league as of S22, this spread of youth did not skip past the Quarterback position. Arizona has arguably the best young QB in the league, Jay Cue. Having a very Impressive 1056 TPE at the time of writing this, this S18 QB should be the top QB in the league for seasons to come. Being a strong 3 seasons away from Regression, this should be the one position lock, along with the key piece for their championship window, which I see is within the next 3 seasons. Arizona does not need to address this position in the draft, and this is further shown by the trading of sent down QB, George O’Donnell to the Butchers for more picks to help in their championship push.

RB - This position is another filled with youth, starting with Baby Yoda, a 561 TPE speedster that should provide a nice compliment to Cue’s rushing ability, giving an option as a workhorse back or a receiving threat for the team. Despite lacking a back-up RB for the rookie runner, senddown RBs Zed Keppler and Jacoby Batista will be ready for the call next season, with Keppler starting to outearn Batista after being traded to Minnesota,it seems Keppler will be able to fill into the secondary RB that Arizona will need to keep Baby Yoda going throughout the game. This team does not need any more RBs, a trend that will be seen much through the league, giving a position that Arizona can set and leave for the next 7+ seasons.

WR - Arizona has 3 active Wide Receivers that are in the NSFL, Saba Donut, Jah Bur’berry, and Thomas Passman, and 2 send down receivers that are also active. Donut, one of the top receivers of the league, and top target of Cue, still has 2 seasons without regression to help push Arizona into their championship window, and both Bur’berry and Passman are no slouches either, with both earning at very well rates, in addition to being S20 or higher. And if either of them stop earning, their 2 send downs are no slouches either, with either ready to step in at any time to take over. Overall, this is another position that needs nothing addressed on the offensive side of the ball, and should be ready to compete for an Ultimus without any draft help in the near future.

TE - After trading away superstar, but inactive, Tight End Jammerson Irving, the Outlaws would seem to have a need at the position. This is where Heath Evans steps in, a rookie with 370 TPE, is ready to take over. Already on page to beat Irving’s TPE level, Evans added another fantastic earning vertical weapon to the already super young Arizona offense. This is another position that has no needs, but it wouldn’t hurt from adding a backup TE to help ease the pressure off of an eventually aging Evans.

OL - Continuing with their amazing S22 draft, Arizona doubles up on Offensive Linemen in the previous draft picking up Bruce Buckley and Calvin Golladay, picked back to back and also being great earners. Especially with the new discovery of human Offensive linemen players being better than bots, this Caps off the entire young core that Arizona has on offense, and as long as most keep earning, Arizona will be scary in a couple of seasons.

DE - Another position that Arizona addressed in last season’s draft, picking Sandro Ryeu to be the starter, and picking up Slinky Claxton to be sent down for another season, both of these players are very high earning players that will help to reinforce the ends of the defensive line. Not to be repetitive, but this is another position that won’t need to be addressed for 7+ seasons, becoming a general theme with how young this team is.

DT - Arizona has 3 active Defensive Tackles on their roster, Shane Masters, Pete “Plop” Miller, and Claude Miller II all of which are active and earning. Masters, tied for being the oldest player on the team, starting in S17 with Saba Donut, provides a veteran presence that is needed on such a young team. Both Millers are both going to be the next leaders of this defensive front, both being S21 or younger. This position might look for a replacement for Masters soon, but that does seem to be filled by both of the up and coming DTs that are on pace to pass Master’s TPE total next season anyways. Another position for Arizona, another one that needs no addressing in the near future.

LB - This was a main positional need prior to the draft, and Arizona used their first round pick to address this, picking Stanislaw Koniecpolski with the 6th Overall pick, ensuring they got their defensive leader for the future to pair with active LB Galf Wilf, another player from S20, which will allow for Arizona to have the best Linebacker core in a few seasons if everything stays on track. This is another position that both players are 5+ seasons away from regression, but if Arizona pleases they could pick up a 3rd linebacker to finish out their defense.

CB - In the S22 draft, Arizona took advantage of people teams seemed to want to avoid, like taking max earner Tyler Oles Jr. and the personality that is Zamir Khela, both of which will be very active and pair nicely with GM cornerback Desmond Scarlett, creating a new lockdown CB core for Arizona, another part of their defense that will be young and great if they stay active for these next couple of “championship window” seasons. This is another position with 3 max earning actives, and there is no need to make any moves in the Cornerback department for a long time.

S - Arizona had only 1 Safety on the roster, but it is another young player, Quinn Hughes. He is another max earning active player from the amazing draft that Arizona had throughout S22. Despite his well earning tactics, this is one of the first positions that I would say that Arizona looks in for the upcoming draft, as having two safeties won’t hurt them at all in the long run.

K/P - The Outlaws have an active at every position, and this is no exception, with K/P J.J Jay-Jaymison, a low earner but still active, and sorry Philip Stein if you are reading this, but it does not look like Arizona is going to draft a Kicker in this upcoming draft.

Major Draft Needs: S/LB

[div align=\\\"center\\\"] AUS Austin Copperheads AUS [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By BenDover)[/div]

QB - The Quarterback for the Copperheads is Easton Cole, a GM player who will enter regression next season, and with no back-up plan, I believe that Austin will make a splash in this draft or next years draft, because it will become an immediate need in about 2 seasons, so I expect them to make a splash at the position in the draft sooner rather than later. This should be seen as one of the team’s primary needs in the near future.

RB - Despite having 2 of the best Running Backs in the league, with Mako Mendonca and Ryan Leaf J, but Leaf Jr. retired and Mendonca will enter regression next season, so it would seem that RB would be a need, but Austin foresaw this happening. They drafted Kichwa Jones to fill in the starting role in a few seasons when Mendonca fell off TPE-wise. This is not a position that needs much looking at, and is considered one of their stronger positions going forward.

WR - Austin has three active wideouts on the roster, with S15’s Rod Tidwell who is in regression, S18’s Net Gaines, and S22’s Eddie Jeeta. It was a good move picking up Jeeta in the 3rd round, getting immense value and filling a 3rd wide receiver role, but Tidwell is in regression, and Austin should be looking for Tidwell’s replacement sooner rather than later, forming a new counterpart to Jeeta in the future of the Copperheads.

TE - Despite having one of the top Tight Ends in the league in Peter Larson, he has fallen inactive, good thing the Copperheads drafted his eventual replacement in Tree Gelbman, who is still sent down to the Coyotes, but she will be up next season to help this Copperheads offense that had a slow start to the season. This is not a position of need for the Copperheads, who hope Gelbman is the franchise TE that Larson couldn’t be.

OL - Despite drafting the person who has brought back the Offensive Line movement, Austin did not heed his words about them, having an inactive Offensive lineman in Edmond Beaver-Dantes and a S22 offensive lineman in Tommy Sacamano, who hasn’t been seen on the NSFL site in a week. This should be a large position of need especially for the team that had the Offensive lineman researcher, in iStegosaurus

DE - Austin has two active Defensive Ends, in Kyle Idlewyld and Troen Egghands, both of which are very active and high earners, and the future of the defensive front, both being younger than S20. This is one of the few positions on the team that needs no attention put on to it, and both edge rushers should continue to torment opponents for seasons to come, without any help.

DT - Unlike their stellar Defensive Ends, Austin can not say the same about their big boys in the middle. Both Riles McTackle and John-Caleb Bradberto, who are both inactive, need some help in the upcoming draft. This should be #1 position of need in the draft, followed by Cornerbacks in my opinion, but that can wait until we reach the Cornerbacks section.

LB - Austin has two active Linebackers with decent amounts of TPE, with Honda Edmond from S17 with 889 TPE, the star of the front 7, and S21’s Holden Summers, a young LB with 402 TPE. With both players being middle tier earners, Austing should keep an eye on this position, as a need for a strong max earning LB to finish out their core for the near future.

CB - The Copperheads only have one Cornerback on the roster, but it sure is a good one, Dermot Lavelle Jr. a 1400 TPE player from S16, and although he is one season away from regression, he will not be terrible until 3 seasons from now. While only having one CB on the roster sounds terrible, it is fixed by having one of the four Safeties on the roster come play that position. This is another large need for the Copperheads, as even with number one pick Colt Mendoza coming up soon, they need a 3rd true CB to complete their secondary for the time being. Look for them to take a CB in the middle rounds of the upcoming draft.

S - Despite having four Safeties on the roster, there are only two true earners, which are Awkward Sexjoke from S20 with 566 TPE, and S21’s Gregor McGregor, who has 358 TPE. This is a nice young group of Safety’s, so don’t expect the Copperheads to take one, unless their intent is to play their draftee at cornerback.

K/P - Austin has Alfredo Crisco, a S14 kicker that is two seasons deep in regression, look for Austin to try and replace the :Thighmaster” is 2 or more seasons, but they could try and replace him now with one of the Kicker prospects in this upcoming draft, as both are good earners.

Major Team Needs: DT/LB/CB/QB/K

[div align=\\\"center\\\"] HON Honolulu Hahalua HON [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By Tylus)[/div]

QB - Quarterback is a position of low need for the Hahalua, with Corvo Havran almost certainly returning for a final season. Havran, having a respectable season completing 59% of his passes for over two thousand yards and averaging a decent 77 QBR. While he is in the middle of regression, he should still have the talent to play another season in Honolulu. Honolulu also has two active and earning quarterbacks in the DSFL waiting in the wings, in Jim Waters and Luke Skywalker. With the rushing favored playstyle this team has offensively, and the two high earning quarterbacks waiting in the wings, I don’t see the Hahalua picking up a quarterback anytime soon.

RB - Honolulu has two active running backs on the roster right now in Ruff Ruff and Ke?oke?o K?ne-Maika?i. While Ruff Ruff is getting older, and is also not active, Ke?oke?o K?ne-Maika?i is only growing and getting better and better as the season continues. Ke?oke?o K?ne-Maika?i, currently at 390 TPE, is looking to be a strong player for the Hahalua in the future. While Ruff Ruff will almost certainly make a great backup for a season or two, Honolulu may need to start looking for a young running back to sit behind Ke?oke?o K?ne-Maika?i soon. While not a desperate need, running back is a position Honolulu will have to address sooner or later.

WR - The wide receiver room in Honolulu is looking pretty strong. Having young but veteran wideouts such as Jed Podolak, currently 682 TPE, Jacoby Clay, at 443, and William Alexander, who is at 357. In addition to those receivers, the ‘Lua have a very strong earning player in Daymond Brooks. Brooks, who was semi-inactive last season, has stepped his game up completely this season and is looking to become a major contributor for Honolulu’s offense. Having 4 young receivers on the roster, I would be very surprised to see them go for this position during this year's draft.

TE - Finally, a position of need to talk about! The Hawaiian team has only 3 VERY inactive tight ends on the roster, all in the DSFL as of writing this article. I’m honestly not sure who they have been running at tight end, but they may feel that they need a dedicated player in this position during this year's draft. There are a couple of high earning tight ends in this year's draft, and wouldn’t be surprised to see them use a mid-round pick on this position.

OL - Offensive line is the second position so far that the Honolulu are very dry at. Only having one inactive player at offensive line on the roster, and he’s been busy not updating in the DSFL this season. With several high potential trench players, such as Julio Jones, my #1 rated offensive lineman in the draft, the Hahalua should have many chances to improve in this position group. I expect to see them at least consider picking up a high earner in this position.

DE - Honolulu looks to be very solid at defensive end, having 2 active players in the mid/upper 400s TPE range. Jayson Kearse and Logan Noble Jr both seem to be high earning players, and should be studs at each end of the defensive line long into the future for Honolulu. I would be very surprised to see them take a player early in this position with the talent they have on the team already. With such high needs on the defensive side of the ball, and the holes to fill offensively there is no reason they should look to improve this position group unless they get insane value for a great player at a late pick.

DT - This position is almost as solid as defensive end for the Hahalua. With two active defensive tackles above 300 TPE and climbing in Momona Keiki-Kane and Reggie Culbertson(343 and 305 TPE respectively), Honolulu is looking to grow these two young players into future studs. With so many active players on the defensive line, and how young all of these players are, Honolulu will almost certainly try to improve in other positions. Not a very high need at all, except for possible depth or insurance picks.

LB - Linebacker may have been one of the strongest position groups on this very young team this season. With Aging veteran presences in Jaylen Storm, Sandip Bakshi, and Alex Selich leading the team with their experience and a young but very talented linebacker in Mack Arianlacher growing into his role in his fourth season at 606 tpe, it’s been a good year at linebacker in Honolulu. The only problem is that Storm is retiring, Bakshi is entering his 10th season next year, and Selich incredibly entering his 13th. With these veterans hitting hard regression, this team is going to need to reload at linebacker, and quickly. While they have a very talented young backer who will be joining the team from the DSFL next season in Jack Banks at 267 TPE, he alone will not be enough to replenish the linebacker spot in Honolulu. Honolulu needs linebackers, and fast.

CB - Honolulu fielded two inactive cornerbacks this season in Emondov Emoji at 856 TPE, and Victor Moreno at 328. The Hahalua did actually draft two young cornerbacks this past season in Barden Brosley, who is active at 240 TPE and earning at a steady rate, and Ozamataz Buckshank, who appears to be inactive at this time. With Emoji hitting regression and Moreno static TPE-wise, and only one cornerback from their last class competing for a spot, I believe that Honolulu will attempt to address this position group in the draft, at least with a later round pick. Cornerback is one of the most important positions in the NSFL and the Hahalua are certain to do something this offseason to insure themselves a future in that department.

S - The ‘Lua drafted two of the best and most active safeties in the DSFL last season, and left them both to mature and grow in the developmental league. Buck Thornton, at 365 TPE and reigning defensive back of the year, is looking to become a star with Honolulu, and nobody with a brain doubts that. Shawn Dawkins, respectably at 321 TPE and active, is on his way to becoming a solid, if not well above average defensive back. With only one safety on the roster, inactive Joseph Wozniak, 345 TPE, both of these players should be starters and solid additions to the growing expansion team next season.

K/P - I have to go out on a limb and say this is the Hahalua’s strongest position. Kicker and punter Venus Powers is having a great season and career so far, and I see no reason for Honolulu to go out of their way to replace her any time soon. Powers, at 686 TPE, is one of the best special teams players in the league, and should be a part of this team for at least the next five to ten seasons.

Major Needs: TE/OL/LB/CB

[div align=\\\"center\\\"] NOLA New Orleans Second Line NOLA [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By Tylus)[/div]

QB - Quarterback Stan Francisco has been a solid performer this season, with over 2500 yards passing, 17 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions. Despite this year’s performance, this may be the aging quarterbacks final season in New Orleans. A season 14 draftee, his age is starting to catch up to him. Lucky for the Second Line, they have one of the best quarterbacks drafted in season 22. Ben Slothlisberger, at 363 TPE is a very high earner, and on his way to becoming the offensive leader for the defending Ultimus champions. With such a talented player waiting in the wings, New Orleans has no reason at all to even look at this position during this year’s draft.

RB - Another incredibly talented position group, the New Orleans running back room is overflowing with talent. Having star veterans in Forrest Gump and Marcella Toriki leading the team, and two young, but active and earning running backs in Ed Barker and Tequila Sunrise(the DSFL rushing leader at the moment) the Second Line have to feel comfortable with the players they have. One less position group to think about, New Orleans will certainly be looking elsewhere.

WR - One of New Orleans most ancient players, Bona’berri Jones is retiring this year. After a very long and illustrious career, the Second Line are losing a strong veteran presence. The second line have two young wide receivers to work with though, in Ed Barker, at 404 TPE, and Sean Snyder, at 191 TPE. While I would say they really need a new wide receiver to replace Jones, New Orleans has two active, young, talented tight ends to work with. I’ve seen them running with a tight end at wide receiver, and they might feel that they can stick to that plan next season. While definitely not a full wide receiver room, New Orleans may feel that their strength at tight end is enough to justify skipping an early round receiver this year.

TE - I briefly touched on the strength of the Second Line at tight end in the last section, and with good reason. Austin McCormick is almost certainly the best tight end in the NSFL this season. At 879 TPE as a season 19 player, his growth has been nothing short of incredible, and he’s shown that tight ends can hang with the best of cornerbacks. New Orleans also has a young, but consistent earner in Rainier Wolfcastle, at 289 TPE and only in his second season. I would be very surprised to see New Orleans take a tight end during this years draft.

OL - The Second Line only have one active offensive lineman in Givussafare Rubbe, listed at a whopping 950 TPE as of writing this article. Having such a strong lineman at a position with the least amount of users is a great accomplishment for New Orleans, and might affect their thought process when evaluating their needs for this season. The Second Line also have a solid, but aging lineman in Brave Ulysses, who is at 582. I’m not sure how much teams in the NSFL value having more than two strong user offensive linemen, but if NOLA decides they might need one, this year has many good and great users in that position.

DE - With a high TPE defensive end Ben Tu’inukuafe entering his 8th season next season and a young, but high earning end in Dorfus Jimbo Jr New Orleans may feel that they need some depth down the road to replace Ben when he starts regressing. Jimbo Jr has had a great year, increasing from 257 to a whopping 390 TPE, so New Orleans may feel that they can wait a year to reup in this position, depending on how they feel about Tu’inukuafe’s regression and potential to retire in the next few seasons. They have no other active defensive ends so this could be a position they shoot to address at some point in the draft.

DT - The defensive tackle room for New Orleans is set up well for the future. With former #1 overall pick Bjorn Ironside retiring, the Second Line are in perfect position to keep this position group as solid as it has been in the past. While not up to Bjorn’s level of 830 TPE, Magnus Rikiya, 371 TPE, and Hank Steel, 275 TPE, are both active and strong earners. I predict that New Orleans will be happy with the two young players as the starting defensive tackles and will have little interest in adding to the position group this year.

LB - New Orleans has one hell of a linebacker core, possibly one of the best in the league. With veteran leader Quenton Bode sitting at a massive 1148 TPE, and young breakout rookie star and possible defensive rookie of the year Ugarth the Dissector at 358 and rising, the team is solid at the position for this season. Unfortunately, the Second Line depth at this position is lacking. With Bode entering another season of regression, and send down linebacker Samuel L Sackson seemingly inactive, New Orleans will most likely have to find a future replacement for Bode during this year's draft. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them take a linebacker in the first couple of rounds at the least.

CB - The cornerback room down in Louisiana is very talented. Veteran corners David Rector, an amazing 1016 TPE, Deon Talor, 733 TPE, and Xavien Adams, at 716 TPE have been work horses for this defense. Sadly for New Orleans Taylor is beginning to hit deep regression. Rookie Andew Witten is coming along nicely at 361 TPE, but New Orleans will have to do something to replenish in this position sooner or later. With only one active safety, the Second Line are going to be hurting for defensive backs in the next 2 or 3 seasons. Expect to see at least one cornerback head to New Orleans this draft.

S - With their cornerback room aging and only one, albeit very talented, safety, you may see New Orleans go with a safety instead of a cornerback(if not both) during this draft. New Orleans seems like a team who like to have the passing game under control defensively, based on the number of high TPE active defensive backs. They almost certainly will increase their equity here.

K/P - Herbert Prohaska has been a solid performer for the Second Line this season. While possibly inactive, due to only increasing their TPE by 7 this entire offseason, I don’t know if that is enough for New Orleans to use a valuable pick replacing him. There are a couple of good young kickers in the DSFL to choose from, so it definitely wouldn’t hurt them to upgrade if Prohaska doesn’t return to the earning level they hope to see from him.

Major Needs: WR/DE/LB/CB/S

[div align=\\\"center\\\"] OCO Orange County Otters OCO [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By Tylus)[/div]

QB - The Orange County Otters have the best quarterback in the league, and he might even be considered the best offensive player in the league. Franklin Armstrong has been nothing short of amazing to watch this season. A top 5 player in yards, with one of the best quarterback ratings in the league at 87, a 2:1 td/int ratio, and managing to be in the top 15 in rushing yards as well, Armstrong is a straight up demon to opposing defenses. While he is entering his second season of regression, Armstrong should still have the talent to play another season at least. Be that as it may, the Otters have nobody behind Armstrong to take over the reins when he retires. This might be a good time for the Otters to start rearing a young quarterback, so that by the time Armstrong does leave the league they will have the future of the team ready and waiting. Look to Orange County to possibly snag a quarterback this year.

RB - The Otters seemingly have their running back of the future in Tatsu Nakamura, a consistent earner at 371 TPE. Orange County’s starting running back this season is inactive player Ludicolo Bigby, who is hitting his second season of regression, so having Tatsu already in the NSFL and making gains, I don’t expect the Otters to use an of their early or mid round picks on a running back. They might take a later round flyer just to have a possible backup for the future, or just to replace Bigby.

WR - The Otter wide receiver room is fairly talented, with a star and veteran in Hugh Mongo at an astounding 1212 TPE. They also have a couple of stud young guys in Future Trunks and Garfield Despacito Jr. Even hitting his first season of regression next year, Mongo should still be one of the top wide receivers in the NSFL next season, and with the growth coming out of Despacito Jr and Trunks, Orange County should have a formidable passing offense next season. Considering Mongo’s age and the lack of depth at the position, I could see them taking a flyer on a mid round wideout. The Otters do have a fairly stacked tight end group, so they may feel that they can roll with one of their tight ends as a wide receiver if it gets to that point.

TE - Jammerson Irving is entering his second year of regression next season, and considering his inactivity, I doubt he will be the starter for this team in season twenty three. Enter Jeffrey Phillips. At 403 TPE, Jeff is a fantastic earner, and should be an excellent replacement for Irving. The Otters also have a semi-active earner in Daniel George, who is playing in the DSFL this season. Orange County has little to no need for tight end this year, that I can perceive.

OL - Orange County only has one active offensive lineman, who is currently playing in the DSFL this season. Considering the volatility of teams to actually draft offensive linemen or not to, Orange County may or may not believe they need more. Keeping in mind they only have one on the roster who is active, and he isn’t even in the NSFL yet, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the Otters have a need at offensive line. Fair rubs for all.

DE - Defensive end is a definite point of need for Orange County this upcoming offseason. With seemingly no active ends on the roster, as none of them have updated this season, the Otters will need to do something about that problem, and do it quickly. It takes time to build a position group to a point of strength, and having a fully inactive position group, the highest TPE being 377, means that Orange County is going to struggle here very soon. I fully expect to see them take the best defensive end they can.

DT - In stark contrast to the defensive end position, the Otter defensive tackles are in good shape. Starting with Rapid Eagle, a season 21 player already at a very strong 482 TPE, Eagle should be an anchor in the middle of the line for many seasons to come. This isn’t to say that their other tackle, Big Edd isn’t talented, because he’s climbing almost as well, at 328 TPE, he’s very strong for a season 22 player. Other than possible depth, I see no reason the Otters will even scout at defensive tackle.

LB - Orange County has hardly any depth at linebacker, and with Lanzer Grievous and David Ginburg both getting hard regressed next season. I think linebacker is going to be at the top of the Otters draft board, if not defensive tackle. The Otters do have a young player in Deshun Jones, who is extremely active and talented. Rocking 367 TPE he is looking to be their linebacker of the future. With their veteran linebackers getting old, Orange County needs to draft at least one top tier linebacker to keep their core strong going into the future.

CB - The cornerback position in Orange County is very solid. With three veteran presences locking down the field in Korrin Abernathy, AJ Lattimer, and Kacey Dream, the Otters don’t have a starting cornerback under 800 TPE. Even though Lattimer is going into deep regression, I see no reason why he can’t start for another season. Given his age, and the lack of rookie depth, I see the Otters picking up a corner to have prepared for when Lattimer decides to call it quits.

S - Safety has to be one of the most secure positions on the Otter team. Orange County has two very good safeties in Tyrone Biggums and Prince Vegeta. Biggums, an absolute FREAK at 1010 TPE puts fear into the hearts of opposing quarterbacks, and he still has two seasons before he even starts looking at regression. Prince Vegeta, besides being prince of all Saiyans, is a pretty good football player. A season 21 draftee, he has already risen to more than 607 TPE. With this duo locked in for the future, I severely doubt Orange County picks up another, unless they plan on running three safeties with one playing cornerback.

K/P - Alex Dasistwirklickseinnachname is a kickers name apparently. At 652 TPE, but entering his second season of regression, I only see him sticking around for maybe one more season. While it isn’t a super imperative need, I could see Orange County biting the bullet and getting their kicker of the future if a great player falls to them in a mid or later round.

Major Needs: QB/OL/DE/LB/CB

[div align=\\\"center\\\"] SJS San Jose Sabercats SJS [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By BenDover)[/div]

QB - San Jose has Dan Wright, an in regression and now retiring QB would of left San Jose in a bad position for a QB, but the GMs foresaw this, recreating as Montery Jack, a quarter back around 381 TPE, who will become the starter next season, and while they might have a down season, they will be set at this position for many seasons to come.

RB - Although San Jose has seemed to have a problem with drafting Running Backs over the last couple of seasons, they seemed to have hit during the past two drafts, picking up Rando Cardrissian in S21 and a steal of Jamar Lackson in S22, San Jose finally has the two active Running backs for the future, with no need to address this position at all in the next couple of drafts.

WR - San Jose has surprised most this season with it’s strong performance from its two wideouts, S17’s Action Jackson with 653 TPE, and Deondre Thomas-Fox from S19 with 601 TPE. Although both are 2+ seasons away from regression, there is a possibility for them to take a wideout early in the S23 draft, with the team looking for a third weapon for the new QB, and to bring them into there Ultimus window sooner rather than later, so keep an eye out for SJS to take one of the top receivers in the class early.

TE - The Sabercats are well set at TE, with Leon McDavid, a max earner from S21, they should set at blocking and a surprise vertical threat for a while, and if needed there is Nick Marksman, a steady Earner at 131 TPE in the DSFL for if anything surprising happens. Don’t expect the Sabercats to look in the TE direction in this upcoming draft.

OL - This team has no O Linemen on the roster, and if they want to follow the new trend of drafting Offensive Linemen, then look for them to take stock in this trend in the upcoming draft in the middle rounds, as bot Offensive Linemen can work fine.

DE - At this position, the Sabercats have no actives at the Defensive End position, even though they have cool names like Chip Otle, they would need this as a primary position in the next draft. However, their Gm ckroyal recreated as a Defensive need, effectively filling this hole with Water Chestnut III, and filling this position for 7+ seasons.

DT - With the retirement of Brayden Ennis, this leaves the Sabercats with only one defensive tackle and it is a good one, OTis Allen. This is an S21 player who has already has 561 TPE and is on page to be way ahead of Ennis if he didn’t retire, leaving them in a good spot in that position for many seasons to come. If San Jose enjoyed having two DTs, then possibly wait to see if they will take one in the middle rounds of the draft, even without a 3rd, this team should be looking to make a splash.

LB - San Jose went defense heavy in the draft, and LB was a spot that they used many picks on
LB to fix their problem. Starting with the star of the team, Tyron Brackenridge, the only 1000 + TPE player on the team, then lots of quality max-earning depth on the team with S20’s Inspectah Deck, and S22’s George Fisher and Lawrence Bass, all of which are great earners and will help keep this defense afloat for many seasons to come.

CB - This is the other position that San Jose took a lot of pick on in the draft, taking two corners in the draft, including one in the first round, S22’s Chester Sweets and Cadillac Harris, both great earning CBs to pair nicely with S21’s HeHateMe PickSix, which I believe will be the best CB group in the league in a few seasons, so the Sabercats do not have to look in the direction of CB in the draft.

S - This looks to be San Jose’s weakest position, as they have Trey Staley, who is retiring, and an inactive in Oswald Grimnir, so expect them to take a big look at Safety in this draft, as it is the only large hole in this team. A possible selection would be Dan Wright’s user’s recreate, who is a safety.

K/P - The Sabercats Drafted Matthew McDairmid last draft, and he looks to be one of the best young kickers in the league, so don’t expect the Sabercats to even look at the K/P prospects.

@Tylus Great write up for NOLA! I will say that you missed a safety in JPach who is playing in the DSFL for us this season and another WR in Blake Alexander also in the DSFL! Outside of that, it all looks good!

Thanks! Sorry I missed them. I'm sure a few others slipped through the cracks as well, so many players! Interested to see where NOLA goes in the draft.

Jay Cue a young QB that doesn't need a backup in the pipeline but I'm "eventually aging" and need someone to follow behind me....

Good analysis of the needs though, I get it can be hard to fill out words on a young team with not many needs haha!
