Kicking Shortage Driving Up Draft Stock - PoloPro - 07-19-2017
Just looking over my fellow kickers and realized that there are only 3 new kickers coming into the league and assuming the Ronaldo only wants to punt that means there are only 2 new kickers and we have 2 new teams. Now Liberty traded for Stephen Harris which was a brilliant move only giving up an 8th rounder for the rights to sign him.
So we have 4 teams who have active kickers, Wraiths, Yeti, Hawks, and as I said before Liberty. In a now 8 team league and only 2 active kickers coming into the league you can see the problem. There are 4 teams out there with in active kickers who starting this season will be greatly out scaled. Legion just signed inactive legend Brandon Walsh, this is like the Bears picking up Mike Glennon. He’s more of an insurance policy than a long-term answer at kicker.
In the inaugural draft of the NSFL the first kicker taken was in the 12nd round 70th overall and the last kicker being your truly at 122nd overall. With the shortage of active kickers happening I think the first kicker will be taken in the first 6 rounds while there are only 12 rounds in this draft, I think a kicker will be in the top half. Where do you think the first kicker will come off the board and who will it be?

I thought there were more kickers than that. Didn't realise so many had gone inactive.
