*NOLA Rugby team - Ben - 07-05-2020

In Bex's new contract there is a clause that New Orleans must play an annual rugby game. This got me thinking, what would a NOLA rugby team look like? Well I'm here today to answer that question for you.

1. (Prop) Ben Tu’inukuafe
This one is pretty self explanatory, Tu’inukuafe grew up playing loosehead prop in New Zealand so that's where he would play for New Orleans.

2. (Hooker) Brave Ulysses
Good connection with Ben will help at scrum time. Grew up in England so he should be able to throw a decent ball in from playing rugby or soccer football when he was younger.

3. (Prop) Dorfus Jimbo Jr
Another big boi to add weight to the scrum.

4. (Lock) Quenton Bode
Try and tell me a literal polar bear wouldn’t be a good target in a line out. Also being in the middle of the scrum means everyone binded around him will be kept warm by his fluff.

5. (Lock) Givussafare Rubbe
Turns out Rubbe is actually 6’7” lol. That’s another tall line out target and extra mass for the scrum.

6. (Flanker) Magnus Rikiya
Makes a lot of tackles. Used to blowing up running lanes and being in the middle of a lot of bodies so won’t be unfamiliar with finding themselves at the bottom of a ruck.

7. (Flanker) Ugarth the Dissector
Did I put Ugarth at openside flanker because it takes more knowledge of the game and nuance than other forward positions just because frith knows more about rugby than the other loose forwards here? I won’t say.

8. (Number 8) Hank Steel
Another big boi who can tackle and run with the ball when needed.

9. (Halfback) Stan Francisco
Directs play, orders people around and connects the forwards with the backs. Impeccable passing.

10. (First five) Marcella Toriki
Another former rugby player so put her in another high impact position. Used to playing 7’s where you kick your own conversions so has some experience kicking goals.

11. (Left wing) LiterallyJust A. Hexagon
Gotta go fast
:sanic: :sanic: :sanic:

12. (Second five) Xavien Adams
Combination of speed and strength along with ball skills to help in attacking plays from the set piece.

13. (Centre) Austin McCormick
A big fast boi who can make threatening line breaks and big runs up the middle.

14. (Right wing) Forrest Gump
Will run all day.

15. (Fullback) Mason Blaylock
Centre fielder, good under the high ball. Used to being the last line of defence and making high pressure try saving tackles.

Reserves:
Ed Barker (Covers the forwards, loves to burrow into a ruck)
Andrew Witten (Covers any outside back position)
Herbert Prohaska (Specialist kicker, can come on at 10 or 15)
Rainier Wolfcastle (Covers inside backs or even loose forward in a pinch)
Blake Alexander (Covers the backs as well)
