Delving into the depths of the index, here's 5 all-time individual season records (and one close call) that were broken in the 2038 season:
Most (and 2nd most) tackles (ISFL) - Quenton Bode (154) and Mike Hockertz (150). It's crazy that after 23 seasons, 2 separate players beat the long standing record of 144 held by Kendrick Hendrix, set back in the very first season. Bode got a few nominations for linebacker of the year, but Hockertz unfortunately couldn't bag a nom.
Most tackles for loss (ISFL) - Spike Suzuki (24) takes this one, toppling the Season 3 record set by Adamle Tomlinson (22) in just his second season in the big leagues. Suzuki fell just short of the DE of the Year award, but did share Defensive Breakout Player of the Year.
Most punts inside the 20 (ISFL) - Jacob Small (25). It's not the most prestigious record ever, but punters are people too. Jacob Small was the third K/P taken off the board and equalled this record in his rookie year, originally set by Stephen Harris in Season 2.
Longest punt return (ISFL) - Desmond Scarlett (89 yards) in Week 9. Despite running a punt back for 89 yards and setting a new league record in the process, Desmond didn't make it to the end zone and was taken down at the 1 yard line! Thankfully Baby Yoda was on hand to rush it in as Arizona beat Philadelphia in Week 9 this season.
Most yards per kickoff return (ISFL) - Louisiana Purchase (34.4). Going for 1,170 KR yards in a season is impressive. Doing it with just 34 returns is huge. Helped along by a monster 93 yard return, his average topped the previous mark of 33.8 set by Danny Grithead 8 seasons ago. These big plays are what landed Purchase the coveted Returner of the Year award.
Most (and 2nd most) pass deflections (DSFL) - Unfortunately it's a bot that's taken the top spot here, Tijuana's Mith Randir (23). But real life simulated safety Joel Drake takes 2nd spot with 22 in his rookie season.
3rd most kick return yards (DSFL) - Some would argue that we're scraping the barrel with this one, but Greedy Sly's 911 kick return yards was just 6 short of the all-time record, set by Bayden Brosley the year before.
