*Statement about Activity / Draft Me - DELIRIVM - 07-31-2020
How is it going ISFL? I would like to start out this article with a little background for those of you who weren’t around when I started on the league. My forum name is @`incitehysteria` and I am the original GM of the Colorado Yeti. I was around the inception of the ISFL (which was the NSFL at the time, kudos on the name change btw. I never liked the NSFL moniker), and even though I haven’t been active in the league for a long while - this place holds a special spot in my simulation league riddled heart.
I have gotten many scouting messages since joining back and haven’t gotten around to answering them all yet and thought I’d just post a piece of media about my player, my intentions this go around on the ISFL, and the future of this years GOAT wide receiver. So let’s talk about my past on the league and maybe scare some GMs away from drafting me before settling their stomachs when they realize my intentions moving forward.
When I first started on the league I made a player named Wyatt Fulton. He ended up going to a few pro bowls but ultimately I went inactive due to real life circumstances (this will become a recurring theme), the circumstances stemmed from then undiagnosed PTSD and resulting anxiety disorders. Not going to go into depth on this because it’s best discussed in private between people that suffer from these things. Fulton kinda burned out and will go down as a linebacker that was pretty good but not great. Eventually I came back thinking I was ready to tackle the NSFL properly this time. I made a quarterback named Mantis Toboggan. He died shortly after creation. My next player was Felix Hasselhoff. He was a fun wide receiver from Germany and he did pretty well for his low tpe. Having a few 300+ yard seasons as a 3rd or 4th receiver for the Liberty. But he never was the player I wanted him to be.
Skip to today. I, having gotten help in real life for things, and coming back with a renewed vigor for sim leagues in general. I have settled in on Noah Akerele and his future as a superstar wide receiver in the NSFL. With my PTs being written weekly in the SHL and the ability to claim the weekly welfare for that, as well as participating in other events, and having a steady income from writing and graphics. I see nothing stopping me from becoming a top wide receiver, not only in my draft class, but moving on in the future. I've already broken the 100 TPE plateau before my draft and it's only going to keep piling up. Finally spent all of them and got my speed up to 80 and will be working on the rest moving forward.
So if you’re hesitant to draft me due to my past players. I can understand that and I respect that decision. If you want to pick others that are less boom or bust. Hell, I am right there with you. But I am writing this to assure you that if you draft me onto your squad, give me a chance to start, and feed me the ball. I’ll be helping feed the teams wins.
So to sum up my entire article, I am back bitches. I am ready to rip the defense in this league a new one and you better fucking get ready. You haven’t seen a wide receiver like Akerele before and he’s coming at you with the fury of the British Empire (circa 1922). Draft me.
