*S24 DSFL Week 1-4 Highlights - Tesla - 09-01-2020

Week #1 Broadcast

Agent Tesla: Hello and welcome back to Developmental Simulation Football League highlights! I am your host Agent Tesla and I am joined as always by the representative for the sim Sim Rep! We are going to be covering the first week of games today and so please tell us about the first game of week one Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Dallas Birddogs at Tijuana Luchadores. Luchadores won 22 to 13. Offensive player of the game is running back Zoe Watts of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 12 rushing attempts for 110 yards, an average run of 9.2 yards, a long of 61 yards, and 1 touchdown.

Agent Tesla: First and ten on the third drive of the first quarter saw Watts win their first highlight of the day with an 18 yard run. The biggest play of the day for Watts came on a third and five in the third quarter which they converted with a 61 yard touchdown run. Outstanding job by Zoe Watts there and now please tell us about defense Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Adam Schell of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 6 tackles and 2 sacks.

Agent Tesla: Schell's first highlight came on the first drive of the game where they had a 6 yard sack on first and ten that would ultimately force the opponents to settle for a punt. Their biggest play of the day though was a six yard sack on third and goal that forced the opponents to settle for a field goal attempt.

Now for game two of week one please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Kansas City Coyotes at Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. Buccaneers won 27 to 17. Offensive player of the game is running back 3' Jeffrey of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers with a stat line of 28 rushing attempts for 125 yards, an average run of 4.5 yards, a long of 11 yards, and 1 touchdown.

Agent Tesla: Jeffrey's first big run of the day came in the first quarter when they converted a third and one with an 11 yard run. Their best play of the day came on a first and goal where they ran it in for a 6 yard touchdown. They were also able to match their long run of the day with another 11 yard run on a second and four early in the third quarter. Now tell us about defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is free safety Teddy Utterstruzen of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers with a stat line of 7 tackles, 2 passes defended, and 1 interception.

Agent Tesla: Utterstruzen really brought their play out in the fourth quarter with an interception on a third and seven to end a drive, although without getting any return yardage for their own stat sheet. They also added a broken up pass on second and six on the ensuing drive that would ultimately end in a turnover on downs to win the game. Love to see good safety play!

Game three of the week now please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game London Royals at Minnesota Grey Ducks. Royals won 24 to 21. Offensive player of the game is running back Jameson Vermillion of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 17 rushing attempts for 138 yards, an average run of 8.1 yards, a long of 82 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 reception for 6 yards.

Agent Tesla: Vermillion's first points of the day came in the third quarter when they managed to pound it in from one yard out for the touchdown after converting a second and five earlier in the drive. The undeniably best play of the day though came on a third and ten in the fourth quarter where Vermillion sought to take control of their own destriny by running it 82 yards to the end zone for the score! Now tell us about exciting the defensive side was for this game please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is strong safety Oliver Sloan of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 8 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and recovery.

Agent Tesla: Sloan's biggest play of the day came on a first and ten in the third quarter where they made the tackle that jarred the ball loose, and then even managed to scoop it up for a seven yard return which would put the team in position for a drive that would end in a touchdown. Also added a 6 yard sack on the day where they turned a second and one into a third and seven that would be stopped short of the line to gain to force a punt.

Fourth and final game of the week please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Norfolk Seawolves at Portland Pythons. Seawolves won 31 to 17. Offensive player of the game is running back Quanter Skrills of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 19 rushing attempts for 120 yards, an average run of 6.3 yards, a long of 10 yards, and 1 touchdown,

Agent Tesla: Skrills scoring play of the day came on a first and goal in the first quarter that they converted with a three yard touchdown run. Added a 10 yard run on a second and five in the second quarter to get the team just shy of field goal range. Also matched their longest play of the day in fourth quarter by running for 10 yards on a second and five in the fourth quarter to help run out the clock. An act they followed with two nine yard runs just to cement in the minds of their opposition. Now please tell us about defense Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Donald McBobby of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 12 tackles and 1 sack.

Agent Tesla: McBobby's 6 yard sack opened the second quarter on a third and eight that forced the opposition to settle for a long field goal attempt that would ultimately fail. Also made the closing tackle of the second quarter to prevent a potential long touchdown. Combined with them making the final tackle of the game short of the line to gain on a second and ten and I trust them to play throughout the game.

Thank you for joining us and we look forward to seeing you next time!

Week #2&3 Broadcast

Agent Tesla: Hello and good time appropriate greeting dear readers. I am not operating at a hundred percent right now so please be understanding in case there is a mistake. Thank you. Joining me today as always is Sim Rep who will represent the sim in this exchange. Without any further interruption please tell us about the first game please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Myrtle Beach Buccaneers at Tijuana Luchadores. Luchadores won 22 to 6. Offensive player of the game is wide receiver Doug Howlett of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 6 receptions for 106 yards, an average reception of 17.7 yards, a long of 25 yards, and 1 touchdown.

Agent Tesla: Congratulations Doug Howlett on the hundred yard performance! Howlett's longest play of the day came on a first and ten in the first quarter that they converted with a 25 yard reception. First drive of the second quarter for the Tijuana Luchadores was Doug's debut though as he picked up three receptions. A 21 yard reception on first and ten to get it started, an 8 yard reception on second and sixteen to keep the drive alive, and ending in a 20 yard touchdown reception to give the Luchadores the lead back. The Luchadores next drive also had a highlight reception by Howlett as they converted a first and five with a big 22 yard reception. Now please tell us about defense for the week Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Petra Sabor of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 7 tackles and 1 sack.

Agent Tesla: Love to see a linebacker get it done! Sabor's superb sack came on third and two on the first drive of the game where they sent the Buccaneers back seven yards to force a punt from poor position. Petra added a terrific tackle on second and goal in the second quarter seven yards short of the end zone to help lead to a field goal attempt. They kept up it up through the third quarter where they made a tackle after just a 4 yard gain on second and ten on a drive that would end in a punt.

Now please tell us about game two of week two please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Kansas City Coyotes at Dallas Birddogs. Birddogs won 24 to 21. Offensive player of the game is running back Zoe Watts of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 15 rushing attempts for 66 yards, an average run of 4.4 yards, a long of 11 yards, and 2 touchdowns.

Agent Tesla: Efficient running is good running in my book! First big play of the day came on a first and ten in the second quarter that saw Watts run for 11 yards. Watts' first score of the day came in the third quarter on a second and goal where they ran it in form 4 yards out. A feat they followed up in the fourth quarter by running it in from the two yard line on a first and goal play. Now please tell us about defense Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is cornerback Byron Blackwell with a stat line of 5 tackles, 2 passes defended, and 1 interception returned for a touchdown.

Agent Tesla: A big play corner at the DSFL level Is divine according to the managers I have met. Third and ten in the first quarter and Blackwell stops the receiver four yards short of the line to gain to force a punt. End of the first quarter on a third and four and Blackwell picks off the pass only to run it back 71 yards for the touchdown! They kept up their terrific performance throughout the game as they broke up pass on first and ten in the fourth quarter to help stall the opponent's drive.

Next is game three of week two please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Portland Pythons at London Royals. Pythons won 23 to 10. Offensive player of the game is running back Darren Pama of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 23 rushing attempts for 93 yards, an average run of 4 yards, a long of 16 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 reception for 7 yards.

Agent Tesla: A reliable running back with a well won award. First highlight for Pama came just at the end of the first quarter on a first and ten that they converted with a 15 yard run. Biggest run of the day for Pama came in the third quarter when Pama ran it 20 yards on a first and ten. Fourth quarter saw Pama do just was what needed as they converted a third and three with a 5 yard run before pounding in a 1 yard touchdown on the ensuing first and goal. Now for defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Donald McBobby of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception.

Agent Tesla: A versatile linebacker with just about every stat covered! McBobby's first big play came toward the end of the first quarter with a 5 yard sack on first and ten to ruin a drive before it could really start. Added their second sack in the second quarter on a second and two where they knocked them back 6 yards. Early in the third quarter on a second and ten McBobby added an interception return of 20 yards to their stat line to solidify them as the selection for the award.

Last game of week two please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Minnesota Grey Ducks at Norfolk Seawolves. Seawolves won 20 to 0. Offensive player of the game is running back Quanter Skrills of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 22 rushing attempts for 118 yards, an average run of 5.4 yards, a long of 14 yards, 2 receptions for 34 yards, an average reception of 17 yards, and a long of 28 yards.

Agent Tesla: Skrills slipping past the defense for a few long plays it looks like. The first coming as first play of the second quarter where Skrills caught a 28 yard pass on first and ten to get the team across midfield. Skrills added their longest run of the day in the fourth quarter with a 14 yard run on second and nine from their own five yard line. Please tell us about the defense now Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Wasrabi Gleel of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 9 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception.

Agent Tesla: Tons of tackles and a pick is more than enough for a defensive player of the game award. Gleel's biggest play of the day was a huge one with an interception on second and goal that turned what would have been a touchdown into a first and ten from their own nine yard line. Right at the end of the third quarter they added a tackle just two yards beyond the line of scrimmage on a second and nine to help force a punt after a difficult third down. Start to finish Gleel played hard and the award is well deserved for that.

First game of week three now if you would please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Norfolk Seawolves at Dallas Birddogs. Seawolves won 37 to 17. Offensive player of the game is quarterback Suleiman Ramza of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 21 of 26 pass attempts for 222 yards, an average pass of 10.6 yards, 4 touchdowns, a passer rating of 141.8, 2 rushing attempts for 1 yard, an average run of .5 yards, and a long of 1 yard.

Agent Tesla: A fantastic passing performance especially at the DSFL level deserves recognition. Ramza's first big play of the day came in the second quarter on a first and ten that they turned into a 22 yard touchdown pass. They stepped up it up in the second half with an 18 yard completion on third and seven in the third quarter to set up first and goal, and on second and goal completed a 1 yard touchdown pass. Right at the start of the first quarter Suleiman threw a 13 pass for a touchdown on third and two for their third of the day. Last play of the day for Ramza was an 8 yard pass on third and one for a touchdown just before the two minute warning. Now please tell us who won for defense Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Chad Thunder of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 2 tackles and 2 sacks.

Agent Tesla: I get the feeling there are only going to be two highlights here, but two is all you need if they are there when it counts! First and ten towards the end of the second quarter and Chad Thunder sacks the quarterback for a 7 yard loss to stop any potential points at the half for the opposition. Kept it up after halftime with a 6 yard sack on the first and ten to start the second half.

We are onto game two of week three please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game London Royals at Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. Buccaneers won 13 to 0. Offensive player of the game is running back 3' Jeffrey of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers with a stat line of 20 rushing attempts for 117 yards, an average run of 5.8 yards, a long of 12 yards, and 1 touchdown.

Agent Tesla: A low scoring game decided by a reliable running back makes sense to give them the award. Jeffrey's first big play came in the first quarter where they found the end zone from first and goal for a 2 yard touchdown run. Longest play of the day for Jeffrey came on second and ten towards the end of the first quarter where they converted with a 12 yard run. Their performance kept up through the game though as they converted a second and six in the third quarter with an 11 yard run. Most impressive for me though was the fourth quarter where first and ten Jeffrey ran it for 11 yards, and on the ensuing first and ten ran it for another 10 yards. Next is defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is defensive end Arlington Heights of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers with a stat line of 4 tackles, 1 for loss, and 2 sacks.

Agent Tesla: Reaching new heights it seems and a rare award winner at the defensive end position. Heights' first big play was an absolute star of a play as they managed a 5 yard sack on third and two to force a punt in the first quarter. They added their tackle for loss on a second and five in the third quarter on a drive that would end in a turnover on downs. Also helped again in the fourth quarter with an 11 yard sack on third and ten to help force another turnover on downs. Not normal turnovers, but still big plays from Heights.

Week three game three please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Tijuana Luchadores at Kansas City Coyotes. Coyotes won 41 to 35. Offensive player of the game is running back Bronko Mills of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 15 rushing attempts for 139 yards, an average run of 9.3 yards, a long of 88 yards, 1 touchdown, 2 receptions for 6 yards, an average reception of 3 yards, and a long of 5 yards.

Agent Tesla: I think that with a run like that there is no way you can deny Mills the award. Second and nine in the second quarter saw Mills convert it with a 10 yard run. Coming at the end of the half Mills got the ball on a first and ten and took it 88 yards for a touchdown. An amazing run to go and get the award all in one big play. Now please tell us about who the representative for defense is Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Adam Schell of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 11 tackles and 1 sack.

Agent Tesla: One big name play and a ton of tackles makes for an award winner. Schell started their highlight reel in the second quarter with an 11 yard sack on second and ten. In the third quarter on a second and six Schell managed a tackle short of the line to gain to take it to third down on a drive that would end in a punt. They kept it up until the end with a tackle after just 2 yards on a second and ten on a drive that would end in a failed fiel goal attempt that helped take it to overtime.

Last game of the doubleheader please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Minnesota Grey Ducks at Portland Pythons. Grey Ducks won 19 to 15. Offensive player of the game is kicker Bill Brasky of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 1 of 1 on extra points, 1 of 1 on 30 to 39 yard field goal attempts, and 3 of 3 on 40 to 49 yard field goal attempts.

Agent Tesla: Kicking was the name of this game and kicking for the win gets Brasky the award. Fourth and ten in the first quarter and Brasky converted their first field goal with a 45 yard kick. What won them the award though was the kick to secure a lead at the start of the fourth quarter with a 47 yard field goal on fourth and four. Added another 45 yard field goal in the fourth quarter on a fourth and one to truly prove their value. Now tell us about the defensive side of the ball please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Alejandro Chainbreaker of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 9 tackles, 1 for loss, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble.

Agent Tesla: Physical play wins the day for Chainbreaker. First high value highlight from Chainbreaker came in the first quarter as they managed a tackle at the line of scrimmage on a third and sixteen to force a punt. Third and four towards the end of the second quarter Chainbreaker made a tackle just beyond the line to gain that was forceful enough to cause a fumble. Third quarter saw Chainbreaker make up for a penalty with a 6 yard sack on first and five to make for a more easily defended second down distance.

Agent Tesla: Christiansen set their long run of the day early with a 13 yard run on a first and ten early in the first quarter. They also finished off a drive after a turnover with a good 1 yard touchdown inside the two minute warning of the first half. Also tied their long run of the day with a 13 yard run on first and ten in the fourth quarter. Now tell me about the defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Myles Smith of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 8 tackles, 2 passes defended, and 1 interception.

Agent Tesla: Third and eleven in the second quarter and Smith tackles the receiver just three yards past the line of scrimmage to force a punt. The very next drive by the opponents on a second and nine Smith picks off the pass and returns it ten yards to put their team in the red zone. Also had a tackle on second and ten in the fourth quarter after just one yard gained to help force a punt.

Tell us about game two of week four please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Tijuana Luchadores at Minnesota Grey Ducks. Grey Ducks won 30 to 25. Offensive player of the game is kicker Jack Burton of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 1 of 1 on extra points, 3 of 3 on 30 to 39 yard field goal attempts, and 1 of 1 on 40 to 49 yard field goal attempts.

Agent Tesla: Burton's first field goal of the day was a 34 yarder on a fourth and eleven in the first quarter. Second was a 33 yarder on fourth and eleven early in the second quarter. Long of the day was their third which was a 40 yarder on a fourth and one late in the second quarter. Final field goal of the day was a 32 yarder on a fourth and seven in the third quarter. Defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Alejandro Chainbreaker of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 12 tackles, 1 for loss, and 2 sacks.

Agent Tesla: Led both teams in tackles and still had some big name plays! Just the third drive of the game and Chainbreaker got it started with a tackle after 3 yards on first and ten, and a tackle at the line on second and seven to help force a punt on that drive. First big name play came early in the second quarter on a first and ten where they secured a 6 yard sack. Fourth quarter saw their biggest play of the game though as Chainbreaker managed a 7 yard sack on second and eleven on a drive that would end in a turnover on downs.

Please go to game three of week four now Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Dallas Birddogs at London Royals. Royals won 31 to 0. Offensive player of the game is running back Zoe Watts of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 26 rushing attempts for 117 yards, an average run of 4.5 yards, and a long of 13 yards.

Agent Tesla: Watts' first big plays of the day came on a third and four in the second quarter that they converted with an 11 yard run. The third quarter saw their next big play as they ran it 10 yards to convert a first and ten. They had another the next drive with their long play of the day in the form of a 13 yard run on first and ten to start the drive. Next is defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Juan Domine of the London Royals with a stat line of 7 tackles, 1 for loss, and 1 sack.

Agent Tesla: Domine's first big name play came early in the first quarter with a tackle a yard behind the line of scrimmage on a second and two to give the team a chance to get off the field. Their biggest play was late in the game though as there were less than six minutes left on the clock when Juan Domine managed their 7 yard sack on a first and nineteen after a penalty to continue the shutout. That last drive would end in a turnover on downs that put the team in the red zone immediately.

Game four of week four please Sim Rep! We made it!

Sim Rep: Game Myrtle Beach Buccaneers at Norfolk Seawolves. Seawolves won 44 to 21. Offensive player of the game is running back Quanter Skrills of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 23 rushing attempts for 101 yards, an average run of 4.4 yards, a long of 18 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 reception for 8 yards.

Agent Tesla: First highlight for Skrills came right at the start of the second quarter with a 3 yard touchdown run on first and goal. Skrills earned their award in the second half though starting with a 13 yard run on a second and two towards the end of the third quarter. That drive would end with Skrills pounding it in from 1 yard out for the touchdown. Long play of the day for Skrills came in the fourth quarter with an 18 yard run on first and ten. After a run by the quarterback that drive would then continue with five consecutive rushing attempts by Skrills which I think is noteworthy. Now tell me about defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is cornerback Rickie Vaughne of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 4 tackles, 4 passes defended, 2 interceptions, and 1 returned for a touchdown.

Agent Tesla: Vaughne also earned their award in the second half starting with their 26 yard interception return for a touchdown early in the third quarter. They added their second interception late in the third quarter with a 36 yard return to put the team in enemy territory to start their next drive. The fourth quarter Vaughne shined in a different way as they broke up a pass on a second and ten and fourth and ten on the same drive to force a turnover on downs for their third takeaway of the day in a way.
