*S24 DSFL Week 8-10 Highlights - Tesla - 09-10-2020

Week #8&9 Broadcast

Agent Tesla: Hello once again my beloved readers! I am here today with highlights from week eight and nine of the DSFL season. Joining in me in this endeavor is Sim Rep who will bring us details from the sim. Let us just jump right into it then if you would please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Tijuana Luchadores at Dallas Birddogs. Birddogs won 18 to 10. Offensive player of the game is running back Zoe Watts of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 25 rushing attempts for 123 yards, an average run of 4.9 yards, a long of 15 yards, and 1 reception for 1 yard.

Agent Tesla: Not a lot of long runs for Watts when it comes to highlights, but that average on that number of attempts easily wins them recognition fro great play. Watts' first long play of the day came on a second and four in the second quarter where she successfully ran it for 12 yards to extend the drive. Her longest play of the day came on a third and three in the third quarter where she ran it for 15 yards to cross midfield. Next is defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is free safety Lionel Rumper of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 4 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 safety.

Agent Tesla: Always love to see a safety as a fan of the game! Rumper won this honor on the very first drive of the game where on a third and eight they got an 11 yard sack that resulted in a safety. When it is a good enough play you only need the one highlight.

Game two of week eight please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Myrtle Beach Buccaneers at Kansas City Coyotes. Coyotes won 23 to 6. Offensive player of the game is running back Sergio Kitchens of the Kansas City Coyotes with a stat line of 21 rushing attempts for 102 yards, an average run of 4.9 yards, a long of 20 yards, and 1 touchdown.

Agent Tesla: The longest play of the day for Kitchens came early in the third quarter on a first and ten that they converted with a 20 yard run to put their team just outside of the red zone. That drive would end in Kitchens best play as they ran it from 4 yards out on first and goal for the touchdown. They also added a 10 yard run to convert a second and ten on their next drive in the third quarter to secure this honor. Now tell us about defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Tyrone Woods of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers with a stat line of 11 tackles, 1 for loss, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble.

Agent Tesla: Woods flashiest stat of the day came in the first quarter on a first and ten where they landed a 6 yard sack. They also had a stop on third and goal in the first quarter to force a field goal attempt. Opening drive of the second quarter saw Woods make the tackle a yard short of the line to gain on third and five to force a punt. Their best play in my book though came in the fourth quarter on a third and five where they got a tackle for a loss of 3 yards and knocked the ball to the turf, although they were unable to recover it.

Game three now please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Minnesota Grey Ducks at London Royals. Royals won 24 to 15. Offensive player of the game is running back Mike Rotchburns of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 23 rushing attempts for 106 yards, an average run of 4.6 yards, and a long of 19 yards.

Agent Tesla: Rotchburns got their longest play of the day in early with a 19 yard run to convert a third and six on the opening drive of the game. They followed up that performance with back to back 5 yard runs later in the drive to turn a first and ten into a first and goal. Second longest play of the day for Rotchburns was an 11 yard run to convert a second and five in the closing minutes of the second quarter. Onto defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is defensive end Mattress Cadaire of the London Royals with a stat line of 11 tackles, 2 for loss, and 1 sack.

Agent Tesla: First highlight for Cadaire came in the third quarter on a second and eight where they made the tackle at the line of scrimmage on a drive that would end in a punt. Cadaire's biggest play of the day was early in the fourth quarter on a second and ten where they managed a long 10 yard sack. Just for good measure they also added a tackle 1 yard behind the line of scrimmage on a second and nineteen in the fourth quarter on a drive that would end in a turnover on downs.

Last game of week eight please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Portland Pythons at Norfolk Seawolves. Pythons won 21 to 9. Offensive player of the game is kicker Melvin Murder-Moose of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 1 of 1 on 20-29 yard field goal attempts, 1 of 1 on 30-39 yard field goal attempts, 1 of 1 on 40-49 yard field goal attempts, 3 punts for 114 yards, an average punt of 38 yards, and a long punt of 40 yards.

Agent Tesla: First quarter saw the first field goal by Murder-Moose a 28 yarder on fourth and eight for the first points of the game. Second quarter saw the second score for Murder-Moose with a 45 yard field goal on a fourth and two to keep things close. Third quarter and third time is the charm as Murder-Moose made a 36 yard field goal on a fourth and three for the hat trick. Next is defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is defensive end Sam Roes of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 4 tackles, 1 for loss, and 1 sack.

Agent Tesla: The first noteworthy play by Roes was a tackle at the line of scrimmage on a second and one on a drive that would end in a punt. The play that won them this honor though is the 10 yard sack on second and five in the closing minutes of the third quarter though as it helped to force a punt to keep the team in it.

First game of week nine please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Tijuana Luchadores at Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. Luchadores won 17 to 14. Offensive player of the game is kicker Jack Burton of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 2 of 2 on extra points, 1 of 1 on 40-49 yard field goal attempts, 11 punts for 524 yards, an average punt of 47.6 yards, a long of 55 yards, and 3 inside the 20.

Agent Tesla: Two kickers in as many weeks is noteworthy! First quarter after a three and out Burton booted it 52 yards on a fourth and fourt to pin the opponent inside the twenty. Towards the end of the first quarter Burton booted it again; this time for 55 yards on a fourth and two to pin them inside the twenty again! Early in the second quarter on a fourth and two Burton was allowed to boot it through the uprights for a 42 yard field goal. They kept it up through the fourth quarter with a punt on fourth and thirty-four that was good for 51 yards and another pinning inside the twenty. Defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is free safety Zack Mouse of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers with a stat line of 6 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception touchdown.

Agent Tesla: Another player who almost certainly earned their honor on the back of one amazing highlight rather than a plethora of them. Biggest play of the day by far came in the first quarter and saw Mouse pick off the pass and run it back 32 yards for a touchdown that would be the first points of the day for either team. Mouse did have another considerable contribution though in the second quarter when a tackle on third and thirty-one forced the opposition to punt in the closing minute of the first half.

Second game of week nine now please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Dallas Birddogs at Kansas City Coyotes. Coyotes won 28 to 25. Offensive player of the game is running back Sergio Kitchens of the Kansas City Coyotes with a stat line of 24 rushing attempts for 118 yards, an average run of 4.9 yards, a long of 18 yards, 1 touchdown, 3 receptions for 8 yards, an average reception of 2.7 yards, and a long of 6 yards.

Agent Tesla: Kitchens kicked it up this doubleheader with two games over 100 yards and of 4.9 yards average run. First big play for Kitchens came in the first quarter on a first and ten that would be converted by their 12 yard run. Long play of the day came early in the second quarter on a first and ten where they ran it 18 yards. Their next play of the drive was a 12 yard run on a first and five to keep the drive alive. That drive would end in points for the team as Kitchens got in for a 2 yard touchdown on second and goal. Defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Richard Leaking of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 12 tackles and 1 sack.

Agent Tesla: First quarter saw the first highlight for Leaking as they made a tackle on second and twenty-four that would help force a punt. Added another similar highlight towards the end of the first quarter with a tackle at the line of scrimmage on a third and three to force a punt. Biggest play of the day for Leaking was a 7 yard sack on second and nine in the second quarter on a drive that would end in a punt. Contributed to their fair share of forced punts to get the recognition here.

Now for game three of week nine please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Norfolk Seawolves at Minnesota Grey Ducks. Grey Ducks won 19 to 12. Offensive player of the game is kicker Melvin Murder-Moose of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 1 for 1 on 20-29 yard field goals, 1 for 1 on 30-39 yard field goals, 2 for 2 on 40-49 yard field goals, 4 punts for 173 yards, an average punt of 43.2 yards, and a long of 57 yards.

Agent Tesla: Two weeks and two honors for Melvin Murder-Moose means it is safe to say they are killing it out there. First field goal for Murder-Moose was a 24 yarder on a fourth and five in the first quarter. Second was a 42 yard field goal on a fourth and three in the first quarter. Early in the second quarter Murder-Moose got another hat trick with a 41 yard field goal on fourth and one. Towards the end of the second quarter Murder-Moose made their best punt of the day in the form of a 57 yarder that would lead to a touchback. Last but not least was a 39 yard field goal on fourth and two in the third quarter. Please tell us about defense now Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is strong safety Oliver Sloan of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 8 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception.

Agent Tesla: Now Sloan only has two highlights from this game in my book, but when they come in is what really sets them apart in my opinion. Fourth quarter on a first and ten and Sloan picks off the pass to get the ball back for the offense, although without a return on it. Towards the end of the fourth quarter Sloan stepped up again with a tackle on third and eleven that would be significantly short of the line to gain to force a punt that was key to the end result of the game.

Last game of the doubleheader please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game London Royals at Portland Pythons. Pythons won 17 to 10. Offensive player of the game is running back Danny King of the London Royals with a stat line of 24 rushing attempts for 100 yards, an average run of 4.2 yards, a long of 9 yards, and 1 reception for 11 yards.

Agent Tesla: Easy enough to see the highlights here, although there might be some surprises. Third quarter on a second and six King had their longest run of the day of 9 yards to get a first down. That first down would be converted by King's longest reception of the day that went for 11 yards. Onto defense for the last time this session Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Matty Martinsson of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 11 tackles and 1 sack.

Agent Tesla: Martinsson's biggest play of the day came on a second and eleven in the second quarter where they secured a 7 yard sack for their stat line. Added a noteworthy tackle on a second and ten in the third quarter that would help lead to a punt as well.

That wraps it up for this doubleheader. Thank you for joining us and we hope you enjoy your day!

Week #10 Broadcast

Agent Tesla: Hello rookies new and old! Week ten is in the books and so we are in the final stretch of the season. Today Sim Rep who represents the sim will be helping me bring you highlights from the week ten games! I hope you enjoy them. Now Sim Rep tell us about game one please!

Sim Rep: Game Kansas City Coyotes at Tijuana Luchadores. Luchadores won 27 to 21. Offensive player of the game is wide receiver Doug Howlett of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 8 receptions for 103 yards, an average reception of 12.9 yards, a long of 21 yards, and 2 touchdowns.

Agent Tesla: Howlett got off to an early start with their longest reception of the day coming on a second and four in the first quarter; they converted with a 21 yard reception that put the team just outside the red zone. Second quarter saw them make a 2 yard touchdown reception on first and goal that would be the first touchdown of the day for either team. While their best play of the day came in the fourth quarter on a second and four in the form of an 18 yard touchdown reception. Defense is next please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is cornerback Mason Gillion of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 4 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception touchdown.

Agent Tesla: Only a few plays, but when your standout play is a takeaway touchdown in a one score game you more than deserve to be honored for it. Fourth quarter on a first and ten pass Gillion intercepts the ball and runs it back 46 yards for a touchdown that would ultimately decide the game. Although none of their tackles make the cut for highlights I will also note that they were all four were made short of the line to gain.

Game two of week ten please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Portland Pythons at Minnesota Grey Ducks. Grey Ducks won 16 to 15. Offensive player of the game is kicker Bill Brasky of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 1 of 1 on extra points, 1 of 1 on 20-29 yard field goals, 1 of 1 on 30-39 yard field goals, 1 of 1 on 40-49 yard field goals, and 4 punts for 172 yards, an average of 43 yards, and a long of 49 yards.

Agent Tesla: Nine points in a game decided by one makes this easy to process. First points of the day for either team came on a 38 yard field goal by Brasky on a fourth and one in the first quarter. Early in the third quarter on a fourth and goal Brasky was able to add more on a successful 23 yard field goal. Brasky scored the last points of the day as well on a 43 yard field goal in the fourth quarter on a fourth and one play. Now tell us about defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Donald McBobby of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 7 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 safety.

Agent Tesla: First noteworthy play by McBobby is a tackle on a second and six short of the line to gain to give the team a chance to get off the field. Later in the second quarter on a first and ten McBobby made one of the best plays of the day in the form of a 6 yard sack for a safety. That safety would prove to be quite valuable as the team was able to get points on the ensuing drive as well.

Onto game three please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Myrtle Beach Buccaneers at London Royals. Royals won 34 to 31. Offensive player of the game is quarterback Owen Holloway of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers with a stat line of 9 of 18 on passing attempts for 95 yards, an average of 10.6 yards per pass, 1 interception, a passer rating of 42.6, 8 rushing attempts for 56 yards, an average run of 7 yards, a long of 34 yards, and 2 touchdowns.

Agent Tesla: Despite being more of a running quarterback Holloway's first highlight of the day is a 20 yard pass on first and ten in the first quarter. Long play of the day for Holloway came early in the second quarter on a first and ten where they ran it for 34 yards. Fourth quarter they stepped it up with a 2 yard touchdown run on second and goal. Their next drive saw a 13 yard pass completion on third and six, a 16 yard completion on the ensuing first and ten, and then a 4 yard touchdown run on first and goal. Defense if you would please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is defensive end Mattress Cadaire of the London Royals with a stat line of 6 tackles, 1 for loss, 2 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery.

Agent Tesla: Now I see how they stopped that strong offense. Mattress made their mark early recovering a fumble on a first and ten on the opening drive of the first quarter. Stepped it up with a 10 yard sack to close out the second quarter on a second and ten. Their best play in my opinion though was a 5 yard sack on first and ten in the third quarter. A play they followed with a tackle after just a 3 yard gain on the third and fifteen that followed to force a punt.

Final game of week ten please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Game Dallas Birddogs at Norfolk Seawolves. Seawolves won 28 to 17. Offensive player of the game is running back Zoe Watts of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 18 rushing attempts for 106 yards, an average run of 5.9 yards, a long of 15 yards, and 1 touchdown.

Agent Tesla: Watts got a good start to this game with their first highlight being a 14 yard run on second and nine during the opening drive of the first quarter. A drive that would end with a 1 yard touchdown run by Watts on third and goal. Third quarter was Watts' best with an 11 yard run on a second and four, a 10 yard run on second and ten, their long run of the day for 15 yards on first and ten, and then an 11 yard run to close out the quarter on a first and ten. Four double digit runs all on one drive. Now the last note is defense please Sim Rep!

Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is defensive end Sam Roes of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 3 tackles, 1 for loss, and 1 sack.

Agent Tesla: All three of Roes plays had something in common as they happened at or behind the line of scrimmage. First being a tackle at the line on a first and goal run in the first quarter. Second being a 7 yard sack on first and ten in the third quarter on a drive that would end in a punt. Third being a tackle at the line of scrimmage on a first and twenty in the fourth quarter on another drive that would end in a punt.

Thank you for joining us once again. We are so glad to have you here and we hope you can stick around!
