Bittersweet is Fine

Been trying to find the perfect word to describe the feelings I have about being called up mid-season but I don't think it exists. Bittersweet was the first thing that crossed my mind but it seemed tame compared to the feelings in my head but it is accurate so I suppose it will have to do. Bittersweet is fine, I guess.

I suppose a bunch of stuff has happened already this season, there is definitely some interesting feelings there. Has a rough start in the dsfl and turned it right around over the next two, definitely looking like I was going to make a run for mvp, the call up came at an interesting time.

I absolutely feel sad about leaving the Ducks, but I feel great about the bonds that have developed there. I'm glad to have met so many people that I can call friends and I intend to continue my presence as the amazingly sporadic commenter, late night haunter and poster of my horde of cats. Its been so much fun being a part of the locker room with the most life and strangest sense of humor, I have had a blast in my time in Minnesota and I am exceptionally proud to be able to call myself a Duck for life!

Now on to the next chapter, getting called up was unexpected. Befire the season and the draft i definitely thought i had done enough to make myself an instant presence on some team. I was kind of scared I would go to a team I didn't want to be on just because I would be a good fit. I am extremely happy with where I ended up and getting called up half a year earlier than expected makes it even neater. One thing I wasn't worried about too much, but still would rather not have done was switch positions, I want to play running back, but I want to help my team more, I'm glad I get to do both in this instance, I would have switched in a heart beat if asked, but I'm glad I didn't have to. I feel extremely confident in Yellowknife, and the fact that they feel confident enough to bring me up in this stage of my development makes me feel like we are at a mutual level of respect that is only a good sign for our continued relationship. I sincerely hope I get to be a piece of multiple championship runs in Yellowknife, and that together we can run into the record books and the hall of fame.

So here we are I'm in the ISFL goal one is complete. Now time to be the best, win some championships and earn a nip of free money making a quick poorly thought out article.
