The Jig Is Up
I confess! It was I Jameson Vermillion on the field in two separate games, after my eligibility had expired by being called up to the ISFL. I know I was wrong for sneaking on to the field, and I take sole responsibility for my actions. The Minnesota General managers were not complicit in my ploy, and I acted alone. To be honest though I'm extremely surprised by the lack of security involved. I mean against the Pythons I literally taped a sharpied J over the V on my jersey and when checking in with the sideline judge all I said was " I'm the rookie running back Vameson Jermillion." He literally said "eh seems legit!" I'm not sure how he didn't see through the dollar store fake mustache that I literally out on over my actual moustache. I'm even more surprised that Negs handed me the ball and that when I told Rotchburns twice that he was sitting out for this play, he believed me. Really this is a break down on so many levels. After a couple plays I just walked out of the building perfectly happy to see my Duck buddies beating Portland. I know what I did was wrong and I am perfectly ready to accept any punishments that may come my way.. except...
For the fact that ya'll just let me do the same thing against London. I even forgot the sharpied J in London. I'm not even sure they take league security in the DSFL very seriously. I totally wore two fake mustaches against London, after having forgotten to take the first one off. I'm still not sure how Negs and the coach didn't notice that I wasn't Rotchburns. At the end of the day I suppose I am just happy to have been on the field again with all of my Duck buddies, I fully expect to be suspended from the DSFL for the rest of the season and I don't blame them. Just know, I did what I did out of love!!
