Hey everyone. I also posted this message on the SHL as I am leaving that league as well for a little while so I felt I should post this with me reasons here
Anybody who knows me would generally expect me to write this in character but I feel like in this instance, I would just like to be entirely honest with people:
It goes without saying but 2020 has been a rough year for everyone but it goes beyond that for me. My country (UK) has gone back into general lockdown due to covid and this whole situation has affected me quite a bit mentally. I have thought that I need to take a break. So I have come to the tough decision to retire and then come back stronger next time around. This will only be a short break as I just get things in order in my life before I make my return to the ISFL.
I don't want to give anyone the impression that I am leaving the ISFL due to being bullied or anything else. I love this place and I love the people I have interacted with. They are amazing people and you all have seriously been great to me. I just need to get my real life in order and then I will come back with a different player.
Before I finish, I want to personally thank the Dallas Birddogs team, the sarasota Sailfish and The Chicago Butchers for all the time they have given me. I have been blessed with 3 incredible locker rooms full of incredible people that I have made great friendships with. Most of all, I want to thank Steg and Inverted of the Dallas birddogs for all they have done for me in making me fall in love with this place, turning me into a safety and making me feel valuable and appreciated. I would play for any of these teams and those two in a heartbeat.
