*Liberty struck down Week 1 - Vikain - 08-02-2017

Philadelphia Liberty struggle off the gate. As week one has passed, Philadelphia players and fans are already trying to have an amnesia and pretend that there is only 14 games in the regular season. Getting blown out 31 - 16 to the San Jose Sabercats, has a few fans worried. “You never want to get blown out like that in the very first ever game in the regular season. It is understandable but you still do not want to see that.” Says the defensive coordinator of Philadelphia. Some of the bright stars have been F. North who caught 6 throws for 117 yards and was dominant from the get go. O. Wright had a good day as well running it 17 times for 78 yards and slamming it in for the touchdown. And probably the biggest star of the game was the kicker S. Harris who went 3/3 even booting one from 55 yards, also putting up 1/1 extra point. On the other side of the ball, L.Washington and L.Jefferson had phenomenal games. Washington registered 9 tackles and Jefferson had 8 with one pass deflection and an interception. While a veteran like Marmeladov struggled and seemed a little slow in this game only racking up 3 tackles. “I didn't play my best game for sure. I wanted to come out and show the fans what we can do and...this is not what we wanted to show. We’ll get better though. Just you wait.”
