*DOTTS MEDIAAAAA - ReverendOReily - 01-03-2021

Disclaimer: I (allegedly) ((accidentally)) posted this directly to the graded media subforum instead of the place where media goes, so I'm reposting it in its proper place. If this has already been graded pls disregard and forgive my sins

I'm gonna open some of the Dotts packs that I've been hoarding and record my thoughts (read: random ramblings) and the research (or lack thereof) I do on these players! Some of the packs will be ultimus packs, because I'm still hanging on to 9 of those mama jammas.

Pack 1
Roger Batoff - Season 11 Wide Receiver, Philadelphia Liberty (bronze)
Joliet L. Christ - Season 10 Quarterback, San Jose Sabercats (all star)
Jayce Tuck - Season 1 Defensive End, Arizona Outlaws (all star)
Damien Arnold - Season 10 Safety, New Orleans Second Line (bronze)
Omar Wrong - Season 8 Defensive Tackle, Colorado Yeti (bronze)
Danny Methane - Season 11 Defensive End, San Jose Sabercats (bronze)

Lots of retired boomers in this pack, with the youngest players in the whole pack being created all the way back in season 11. Batoff has a baseball player render, and I'm a fan of just about any player render that isn't a football player, so Batoff is a winner in my book despite peaking at only 386 TPE. Joliet Christ is (as far as I know) the only player in this pack to peak above 1000 TPE, so he gets a gold star. Jayce Tuck is apparently a secret player, because he isn't listed in the TPE tracker under retired players. The other three players are generally unremarkable (sorry pals.)

Pack 2
Willie Nyquist - Season 6 Running Back, Colorado Yeti (bronze)
Vincent Sharpei - Season 1 Linebacker, San Jose Sabercats (silver)
Tana Keita - Season 11 Linebacker, New Orleans Second Line (gold)
Fawn Dillmyballs - Season 25 Captain, Sarasota Sailfish (captain)
Givussafare Rubbe - Season 18 Offensive Lineman, New Orleans Second Line (legend)
Deshun Jones - Season 22 Linebacker, Orange County Otters (gold)

Yooo this is a solid pack right here, especially these last three pulls. Any pack that has an otter in it is an automatic winner. Similarly, packs with former birddogs are based af. So when you pull an absolute class act stud like Deshun Jones who played for both Dallas and Orange County, it's a damn good time. We've also got THE legendary premiere offensive lineman in the league, Givussafare Rubbe. Offensive linemen all over the league aspire to be him, and he's got quite the pretty card if I do say so myself. Mr. Dillmyballs was my first Sarasota captain, and these Sarasota captain cards look noiiiice. I don't remember any of the other captain cards I've pulled having city skylines in the background of the player name - it's a very nice touch.

Pack 3 (super special Ultimus™ brand pack)
Joseph Henry, Season 14 Defensive End, Arizona Outlaws (bronze)
Jay Cue, Season 25 Captain, Arizona Outlaws (captain) POG
Reggie Culbertson, Season 20 Defensive Tackle, Philadelphia Liberty (bronze)
Jammerson Irving, Season 15 Tight End, San Jose Sabercats (gold)
Spike Suzuki, Season 23 Defensive Breakout Player of the Year, Philadelphia Liberty (awards)
Forfeit, Season 6 Kicker, Yellowknife Wraiths (bronze)

Forfeit is definitely a duplicate card, but kickers are always nice, and his name gets me every time. The Cue and Suzuki cards really make this pack special; fun fact about Jay Cue, amongst all active ISFL players, he has the highest TPE peak aside from known scallywag and criminal Dermot Lavelle. The TPE tracker says Suzuki peaked at 465 TPE and he's currently at 452, yet he's a S22 who has never regressed, so I'm scratching my head on how that could have happened. Maybe he got audited? Auditing = TPE taxation = theft.

Pack 4
Colorado Yeti, established 2016 (Team)
Caleb McCoy, Season 13 Safety, Colorado Yeti (bronze)
Marcus Boyd, Season 1 Offensive Lineman, Philadelphia Liberty (bronze)
Adam Schell, Season 24 Linebacker, Berlin Fire Salamanders (silver)
Arbin Asipi III, Season 13 Cornerback, Baltimore Bananas (silver)
Dick Thruster, Season 23 Offensive Lineman, Colorado Yeti (silver)

The Yeti team cards along with Schell and Thruster save this pack from being a complete disappointment; instead now it's just mostly disappointing. Season 1 card do be pretty cool though. Asipi's user has over 2,000 posts on the site and yet, according to the TPE tracker, has never broken 500 TPE with a player, which is just damn impressive. That sounds like some dedicated forum shitposting right there, and you all need to frankly step your game up. I think Caleb McCoy is an Andy Dalton render, so that's uh.. interesting.

Pack 5
Marcus Boyd, Season 1 Offensive Lineman, Philadelphia Liberty (bronze) wtf I just pulled this guy 5 minutes ago
Flash Panda, Season 21 Wide Receiver, Philadelphia Liberty (all star)
Medicinal Toblerone, Season 25 Defensive End, New Orleans Second Line (bronze)
Thor Kirkby, Season 20 Safety, New York Monkies (gold)
Brian Wheat, Season 3 Wide Receiver, Colorado Yeti (bronze)
Forfeit, Season 6 Kicker, Yellowknife Wraiths (bronze)

Marcus Boyd, despite being a season 1 card, lost his appeal real quick. Why tf do I pull so many Forfeit cards? I think I've pulled him at least 4 times and yet he's one of my only kickers. Are kickers weighted toward being Forfeit? Are all kickers in the league just Forfeit in disguise? Brian Wheat is a cool name. Flash Panda has an absolutely adorable render. Medicinal Toblerone too; those two really save this pack from being a complete dud.

Pack 6 (ultimus pack!11!11!!!11!1!!)
Dick Cheese, Season 13 Linebacker, Philadelphia Liberty (bronze)
Adam Anderson, Season 10 Kicker/Punter, Orange County Otters (bronze)
Korbin Brown, Season 24 Wide Receiver, Berlin Fire Salamanders (silver)
Tyler Grant, Season 3 Cornerback, Colorado Yeti (bronze)
Jimi DeSoto, Season 25 Linebacker, Philadelphia Liberty (bronze)
Stevie Vassallo - Season 19 Defensive End, Berlin Fire Salamanders (bronze)

Damn this pack kinda sucks. Shoutout to Jimi DeSoto for at least being a fellow S25 player. Gonna open one more of my stockpiled packs tonight with the hopes of pulling a winner.

Pack 7
Rainier Wolfcastle, Season 21 Tight End, New Orleans Second Line (bronze)
Magnus Rikiya, Season 22 Defensive Tackle, New Orleans Second Line (all star)
Juan Marston, Season 18 Cornerback, Baltimore Hawks (silver)
Noah Goodson, Season 4 Linebacker, Baltimore Hawks (gold)
Kazimir Oles, Season 10 Wide Receiver, San Jose Sabercats (legend)
Inspectah Deck, Season 20 Linebacker, Orange County Otters (silver)

YOO the pack issuing gods (shoutout to laser and simon) must have heard my prayers in that last blurb, because Tesla and Oles are both absolute winners. Super awesome pack. Wolfcastle is a duplicate, but his Simpsons render is a welcome sight. Otter cards are good cards. Marston is apparently Jepox's former player, and Jepox is a homie, so this pack just keeps getting better. Noah Goodson was also shown in a cameo role in this pack.

Pack 8
Medicinal Toblerone, Season 25 Defensive End, New Orleans Second Line (bronze)
Brian Mills, Season 6 Linebacker, New Orleans Second Line (all star)
Bert Metas, Season 1 Defensive Tackle, Baltimore Hawks (bronze)
Omar Wright, Season 1 Runningback, Philadelphia Liberty (bronze)
Matt James, Season 2 Offensive Lineman, Yellowknife Wraiths (bronze)
Austin McCormick, Season 23 Tight End of the Year, New Orleans Second Line (awards)

Smh another bronze Toberlone card, give me that fancy rookie toblerone. This noka card is beautiful just like noka. I wonder if Omar Wright and Omar Wrong know each other. Brian Mills is related to my fellow OCO S25 draftee Bronko Mills so that card is a definite win in my book.

Pack 9
Daniel George, Season 22 Tight End, San Jose Sabercats (bronze)
Zack Skinner, Season 7 Defensive End, Yellowknife Wraiths (silver)
Grayson Kuusela, Season 12 Defensive End, Austin Copperheads (gold)
Sam Howitzer, Quarterback, Yellowknife Wraiths --> New York Monkies (expansion)
Gabriel Tenzini, Season 1 Tight End, Baltimore Hawks (bronze)
Ludicolo Bigby, Season 15 Runningback, Orange County Otters (silver)

Ludicolo Bigby is an absolutely based render. For the amount of anime renders we as a league have, why the hell aren't there more pokemon renders? Do better, ISFL. Howitzer is awesome, and the card is beautiful. All of the expansion cards are really well done.

Pack 10 (ultimus)
Adelie de Pengu, Season 23 Linebacker, Colorado Yeti (gold)
Omar Wright, Season 1 Runningback, Philadelphia Liberty (bronze)
jimmy Cox III, Season 3 Defensive End, New Orleans Second Line (bronze)
Shannon Hobbs, Season 10 Safety, Arizona Outlaws (bronze)
Achilles Hondo, Season 10 Cornerback, Chicago Butchers (gold)
Thomas Clark, Season 12 Defensive Tackle, Baltimore Hawks (bronze)

Bad pack. De Pengu saves the day by being an adorable penguin render, so at least there was something good in here!

Pack 11
Bob Roberts, Season 25 Twitter Griefer, New York Silverbacks (diamond in my heart)
Brach Thomaslacher, Season 25 Linebacker, Yellowknife Wraiths (silver)
Gary Goodman, Season 25 Linebacker, Baltimore Hawks (bronze)
Tyron Brackenridge, Season 25 Captain, San Jose Sabercats (captain)
iLove Gimmy, Season 18 Defensive End, Philadelphia Liberty (silver)
Odell Marrett, Season 10 Defensive End, Colorado Yeti (bronze)

Bob Roberts is a very smelly player, but thankfully he is counterbalanced by the magnificent aroma of Brach Thomaslacher and his incredibly cute dog. Gary Goodman is a qt pie as well. The captain card is fun.

Pack 12
Joseph Joestar, Season 24 Linebacker, Orange County Otters (silver)
Steven O'Sullivan, Season 4 Tight End, San Jose Sabercats (bronze)
Austin McCormick, Season 23 Tight End of the Year, New Orleans Second Line (awards)
D. J. Law, Season 1 Wide Receiver, Yellowknife Wraiths (bronze)
Jeffrey Phillips, season 22 Tight End, Orange County Otters (gold)
Bastion Barnhardt, Season 5 Defensive End, San Jose Sabercats (bronze)

The mccormick card is still pretty, but it's unfortunately less pretty this time around because it's a duplicate. Noka is just as pretty as he was before though. OCO cards are better than your favorite team's cards.

Pack 13 (big money baller ultimus pack)
Marchus Kane, Season 2 Safety, Yellowknife Wraiths (silver)
Neo Donaldson, Season 12 Kicker, San Jose Sabercats (bronze)
Jim Waters, Season 23 Defensive Performance of the Year, Honolulu Hahalua (awards)
Archibald Booter, Season 1 Kicker, Yellowknife Wraiths (bronze)
John Wachter, Season 5 Wide Receiver, Chicago Butchers (bronze)
Chase Jensen, Season 15 Safety, Yellowknife Wraiths (all star)

A season 1 kicker is pretty damn cool, especially with a name like Archibald Booter. Jim Waters is a very cool player with a very cool awards card. I've been getting lots of old players in these packs, which is great if you like boomers. The jury is still out. There was lots of yellowknife representation in this pack.

Pack 14
Adamle Tomlinson, Season 1 Defensive End, Orange County Otters (bronze)
David Rector, Season 18 Cornerback, New Orleans Second Line (legend)
Zed Keppler, Season 22 Runningback, Arizona Outlaws (silver)
LeBong Simwell, Season 24 Defensive Tackle, New Orleans Second Line (silver)
Donatello Arrabiata, Season 22 Tight End, Philadelphia Liberty (bronze)
Brendan Lanier, Season 22 Safety, San Jose Sabercats (silver)

Wtf, the Philadelphia Liberty had someone else with a Guy Fieri render at some point? Pat/Doy Fieri is in shambles. Season 1 otter is hype af, and the rector card is similarly awesome.

Pack 15
Francois Lamoreux, Season 3 Offensive Lineman, Yellowknife Wraiths (bronze)
Damien West, Season 1 Wide Receiver, San Jose Sabercats (bronze)
Mack Arianlacher, Season 19 Linebacker, Honolulu Hahalua (gold)
Sardine Bean, Season 21 Defensive Tackle, Baltimore Hawks (bronze)
Korbin Brown, Season 24 Wide Receiver, Baltimore Hawks (silver)
Eric Richards, Season 23 Safety, Berlin Fire Salamanders (silver)

Francois Lamoreux's render initially gave me a great shock, but then I realized it's just jaws from james bond. Terrifying shit for a second there though. Sardine Bean is easily one of the best names to have come out of this pack opening article. In closing, I leave you with Francois Lamoreux. Have a wonderful night, and happy new year.
