*UofM's Standout RB Archie Griffin declares for the DSFL Draft - Archinity - 01-08-2021 Amidst the chaos in Ann Arbor, Michigan's all-time leading rusher Archie Griffin has declared for the DSFL.  Tim Biakabutuka held the single-season record with 1,818 rushing yards during the 1995 season. Archie surpassed that number recording 1,907 rushing yards with a single game record against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights of 388 rushing yards. The fans of the maize and blue were really praying on Archie's return for his senior season. He only had two real years with the Wolverines as he was a redshirt his Freshman year. With the latest press conference following the Wolverines Big Ten championship win over the Northwestern Wildcats, Griffin declared he was going to the draft, with a quote from the interview. "It has been a great 3 years here at this program, I want to thank all the fans and my coaching staff, for developing me into a mature man, and player, on and off the field. I especially thank Coach Jim Harbaugh for giving me a chance to play here, as this was my one and only college offer for football, and I wanted to prove him right for giving me the chance. I am truly thankful for this team, and what this program has brought me." With that, we are excited to see who the lucky team is with drafting the all-time season rusher for the Michigan Wolverines. Putting the doubters to rest, Archie is here to stay. He proved that in his breakout season. We will be paying close attention to the rest of his career, as it should be a long and successful one. Archie mentioned to us that he is very excited for the DSFL bow, and the draft coming up, and is excited to see which team believes in him next to prove to the world once again, Archie is here to stay.
