*Remus Roman Pre-Draft Presser - Vaelynn - 01-12-2021

1) How does it feel to be entering the NSFL for the first time?

A: It feels great! It's been a lifelong dream to enter the pro leagues... I've been looking forward to being a part of the league since I can remember, and to be entering the league at the same time as my brother? Well that's just icing on the cake. Really a dream come true.

2) Talk to me about that - what's it like to have an NSFL caliber player alongside you growing up?

A: Honestly it's probably the reason why I am as good as I am. We constantly pushed ourselves to be as good as we can be. Competition isn't probably the right word for it, more like a desire to keep up and to make each other proud. Without Romulus I don't think I would have made it to where I am today.

3) Do you have a preference for which team you want to be on?

A: I've been contacted by a few teams, but I truly want to play for any team. I think that my skillset could make any team better, and hopefully I can prove that this year. Lots of teams have even asked me if I would be upset not to be drafted with Romulus - I always say the same thing: I'd love to play alongside him again, but I will be successful wherever I am drafted.

4) Purdue's defense led the FBS in points per game, and was, with all intents and purposes, the best defense in college football last year. How do you think that game will transfer to the NSFL?

A: I know that pro ball is a different animal altogether, but I do feel that I am set up to succeed more than most other DBs in the league. I understand coverages, zone schemes, and excel in a 1 on 1 scenario. Obviously I am playing a different level of opponent now, but I think I'll hit the ground running.

5) Tell us a bit about why you think you are a top prospect in this draft.

A: I live and breathe football. There is no place I would rather be than in the gym or the film room getting ready for the next game. All of my old coaches would tell you that I'm dedicated and passionate about this game and winning it. I want to be successful, and I will do whatever it takes to bring home a championship. If you want someone that will be the first one in and the last one out, always motivating teammates around him, look no further than Remus Roman - I'm your guy.
