*ISFL Week 3 Matchups - platanocat - 01-31-2021 Welcome to Week 3 sim footballers! Alright so last week was pretty rough on old platanocat when it came to predictions. I only ended up getting three predictions correct. Sooooo for anyone who copied my predictions I am super sorry! Maybe Week 3 will be better? I shall gain your trust once again I swear. Here are my super psychic predictions. ISFL WEEK 3 Yellowknife Wraiths at Colorado Yeti Quarterback: Yellowknife: 1266 TPE Colorado: 943 TPE Running Back: Yellowknife: 1547 TPE Colorado: 1532 TPE Wide Receiver: Yellowknife: 2708 TPE Colorado: 2622 TPE Tight End: Yellowknife: 946 TPE Colorado: 340 TPE Offensive Line: Yellowknife: 2029 TPE Colorado: 2422 TPE Defensive End: Yellowknife: 1462 TPE Colorado: 2210 TPE Defensive Tackle: Yellowknife: 1506 TPE Colorado: 736 TPE Linebacker: Yellowknife: 2315 TPE Colorado: 2612 TPE Cornerback: Yellowknife: 1925 TPE Colorado: 1824 TPE Safety: Yellowknife: 1917 TPE Colorado: 1476 TPE Kicker/Punter: Yellowknife: 643 TPE Colorado: 609 TPE TOTALS: Yellowknife: 18,264 TPE Colorado: 17,326 TPE TPE ADVANTAGE: Yellowknife +938 TPE Comments: This will be a pretty awesome game in my opinion. Yellowknife has less than a thousand TPE advantage and Colorado is sporting the home field advantage. Colorado came up pretty big in Week 2, only allowing Berlin to score a total of three points. If they can work that defensive magic again, they might be able to pull one over on the Wraiths. Yellowknife also won last week and faced a pretty competitive Sarasota team, who kept the game within one score. I’m going to have to go with the math on this one and pick Yellowknife, but again, I won’t be very surprised if Colorado is able to pull off an upset. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Baltimore Hawks at Chicago Butchers Quarterback: Baltimore: 1313 TPE Chicago: 1236 TPE Running Back: Baltimore: 1659 TPE Chicago: 2108 TPE Wide Receiver: Baltimore: 1836 TPE Chicago: 1707 TPE Tight End: Baltimore: 1107 TPE Chicago: 1007 TPE Offensive Line: Baltimore: 602 TPE Chicago: 4232 TPE Defensive End: Baltimore: 1587 TPE Chicago: 1010 TPE Defensive Tackle: Baltimore: 547 TPE Chicago: 2516 TPE Linebacker: Baltimore: 1672 TPE Chicago: 2680 TPE Cornerback: Baltimore: 2241 TPE Chicago: 3217 TPE Safety: Baltimore: 1323 TPE Chicago: 1970 TPE Kicker/Punter: Baltimore: 421 TPE Chicago: 900 TPE TOTALS: Baltimore: 14,308 TPE Chicago: 22,583 TPE TPE ADVANTAGE: Chicago +8275 TPE Comments: This may be one of the most one sided games ever. I thought Chicago at Philadelphia was going to be a slaughter, but it turned out to actually only be a one score game. Chicago has the home field advantage, the highest TPE of any team, and Baltimore is still winless. This exact matchup was actually one of the preseason games. I know teams usually run bologna strats in preseason, but in that game Chicago was able to put 51 points on the board. I wonder if anyone actually bet on the +3000 odds for Baltimore to win the Ultimus. Anyways yeah anyone who picked BAL to win this week is openly leaving 0.5 TPE on the table. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Philadelphia Liberty at Sarasota Sailfish Quarterback: Philadelphia: 873 TPE Sarasota: 887 TPE Running Back: Philadelphia: 1960 TPE Sarasota: 2201 TPE Wide Receiver: Philadelphia: 1694 TPE Sarasota: 2489 TPE Tight End: Philadelphia: 1099 TPE Sarasota: 1519 TPE Offensive Line: Philadelphia: 1131 TPE Sarasota: 704 TPE Defensive End: Philadelphia: 1375 TPE Sarasota: 2065 TPE Defensive Tackle: Philadelphia: 1021 TPE Sarasota: 1056 TPE Linebacker: Philadelphia: 2220 TPE Sarasota: 2247 TPE Cornerback: Philadelphia: 1587 TPE Sarasota: 1607 TPE Safety: Philadelphia: 1657 TPE Sarasota: 2880 TPE Kicker/Punter: Philadelphia: 628 TPE Sarasota: 906 TPE TOTALS: Philadelphia: 15,245 TPE Sarasota: 18,561 TPE TPE ADVANTAGE: Sarasota +3316 TPE Comments: For having one of the lower TPE rosters in the league this season, Philadelphia isn’t doing bad with their 1-1 record so far. I actually just noticed this but somehow Philadelphia was able to beat Chicago in a preseason game. Which is just wild to me. So maybe Pat and Cody know what they’re doing? Or maybe their just lucky guessers. Sarasota has a huge advantage in TPE and also plays at home, so I’m going to have to pick them again, but in my heart I really want Philly to win. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arizona Outlaws at Berlin Fire Salamanders Quarterback: Arizona: 851 TPE Berlin: 1238 TPE Running Back: Arizona: 2088 TPE Berlin: 1365 TPE Wide Receiver: Arizona: 3019 TPE Berlin: 2198 TPE Tight End: Arizona: 860 TPE Berlin: 1008 TPE Offensive Line: Arizona: 2106 TPE Berlin: 1895 TPE Defensive End: Arizona: 1421 TPE Berlin: 1117 TPE Defensive Tackle: Arizona: 2055 TPE Berlin: 1745 TPE Linebacker: Arizona: 2630 TPE Berlin: 1934 TPE Cornerback: Arizona: 2489 TPE Berlin: 3109 TPE Safety: Arizona: 1941 TPE Berlin: 1335 TPE Kicker/Punter: Arizona: 414 TPE Berlin: 543 TPE TOTALS: Arizona: 19,874 TPE Berlin: 17,487 TPE TPE ADVANTAGE: Arizona +2387 TPE Comments: So last week I brought up the possibility that Arizona was cursed. After watching Austin beat them by a single point, I think it might be true. Sorry homies. Arizona has a pretty sizable TPE advantage and plays in Berlin against a team that was only able to put three points on the board last week. I would imagine the Berlin war room angrily sim tested all weekend to iron out their strategy. Sure, maybe the exact same thing could happen again this week, but I don’t know. Arizona is cursed! I picked Berlin this week as an upset. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Austin Copperheads at New York Silverbacks Quarterback: Austin: 687 TPE New York: 943 TPE Running Back: Austin: 1841 TPE New York: 1548 TPE Wide Receiver: Austin: 2798 TPE New York: 2470 TPE Tight End: Austin: 681 TPE New York: 387 TPE Offensive Line: Austin: 854 TPE New York: 1024 TPE Defensive End: Austin: 2433 TPE New York: 1066 TPE Defensive Tackle: Austin: 1112 TPE New York: 2007 TPE Linebacker: Austin: 2770 TPE New York: 2193 TPE Cornerback: Austin: 1932 TPE New York: 1878 TPE Safety: Austin: 1636 TPE New York: 2298 TPE Kicker/Punter: Austin: 268 TPE New York: 902 TPE TOTALS: Austin: 17,012 TPE New York: 16,716 TPE TPE ADVANTAGE: Austin +296 TPE Comments: New York is on FIRE right now! With their amazing win over the Otters last week, their team is running high on hype. They are currently sitting at the top of their division as one of only three remaining undefeated teams. Can they keep working the magic? Can they continue to prove that they are the ultimate expansion team? I sure as hell put money on them to win it all this year! Hopefully I don’t jinx it, but with an almost even matchup against Austin this week New York certainly has a decent shot. I ended up making the homer pick again this week. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Orleans Secondline at San Jose Sabercats Quarterback: New Orleans: 1201 TPE San Jose: 1170 TPE Running Back: New Orleans: 1380 TPE San Jose: 2226 TPE Wide Receiver: New Orleans: 2542 TPE San Jose: 2219 TPE Tight End: New Orleans: 796 TPE San Jose: 512 TPE Offensive Line: New Orleans: 1302 TPE San Jose: 0 TPE Defensive End: New Orleans: 1309 TPE San Jose: 1392 TPE Defensive Tackle: New Orleans: 1931 TPE San Jose: 2007 TPE Linebacker: New Orleans: 2034 TPE San Jose: 2608 TPE Cornerback: New Orleans: 2766 TPE San Jose: 2053 TPE Safety: New Orleans: 1484 TPE San Jose: 1735 TPE Kicker/Punter: New Orleans: 317 TPE San Jose: 1179 TPE TOTALS: New Orleans: 17,062 TPE San Jose: 17,101 TPE TPE ADVANTAGE: San Jose +39 TPE Comments: This game is sporting the Week 2 closest TPE matchup. Even though they appear close, they certainly aren’t when it comes to current standings. San Jose is one of the three undefeated teams (along with Chicago and New York) while New Orleans has managed to be winless so far. San Jose also owns the home field advantage this week. I feel pretty confident that San Jose can continue their hot streak. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Orange County Otters at Honolulu Hahalua Quarterback: Orange County: 1166 TPE Honolulu: 917 TPE Running Back: Orange County: 645 TPE Honolulu: 1795 TPE Wide Receiver: Orange County: 1629 TPE Honolulu: 1415 TPE Tight End: Orange County: 2008 TPE Honolulu: 594 TPE Offensive Line: Orange County: 2578 TPE Honolulu: 427 TPE Defensive End: Orange County: 1567 TPE Honolulu: 2328 TPE Defensive Tackle: Orange County: 2028 TPE Honolulu: 826 TPE Linebacker: Orange County: 2222 TPE Honolulu: 2205 TPE Cornerback: Orange County: 1913 TPE Honolulu: 2143 TPE Safety: Orange County: 3854 TPE Honolulu: 2399 TPE Kicker/Punter: Orange County: 216 TPE Honolulu: 1043 TPE TOTALS: Orange County: 19,826 TPE Honolulu: 16,092 TPE TPE ADVANTAGE: Orange County +3734 TPE Comments: I usually stan pretty hard for Orange County, while typically sleeping on Honolulu. Orange County dropped one last week against the Silverbacks while Honolulu were able to come up big in a win over New Orleans. With both teams currently sitting at one win and one loss, the Otters are sporting a sizeable TPE advantage. Naturally I picked Orange County to win but at this point I’m not sure if I’m just being biased. Honolulu does have the home field, so who knows. Maybe they will prove me wrong once again and cost me more prediction TPE. I kind of doubt it though. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for reading <3 |
