Make a DSFL Season Predictions PT - slate - 03-20-2021
The ISFL Season Predictions PT is great. At least in the locker rooms that I've been a part of, it generates a lot of discussion about the state of each team in the ISFL, what additions and subtractions have been made since the previous season, etc. After an offseason that sometimes feels endless, it's a great way to get reacquainted and reinvested in the league.
Although this might not be the best offseason to raise this point with the DSFL mock draft PT causing a lot of consternation, I feel like there's generally too little focus on the DSFL in the league. While I think it serves its role well as a developmental league and for the most part the teams focus on that responsibility over winning-at-any-cost, there are still a lot of fun, competitive games that take place and I think the vast majority of the userbase stops paying any attention to how DSFL teams are doing after they get called up unless they are in a DSFL war room.
To solve both of these issues, I think it would be cool to have both ISFL and DSFL season prediction PTs each season. To make sure that this doesn't cause excessive TPE inflation, I would propose that the base 4 TPE from completing ISFL season predictions be removed and replaced with 1 TPE per correct DSFL placement prediction. This would mean that a 50% correct predictions rate for the DSFL leads to the same total TPE on average.
