S28 DSFL Rules Summit Results - TomHanks - 03-26-2021
The S28 DSFL Rules Summit has recently come to a close. GMs, Head Office members and the DSFL Simmer were encouraged to submit proposed changes to the rulebook and league procedure. With 12 ballots cast (6 teams, 3 HO members, 1 league commissioner, 1 league owner, and 1 simmer), 8 votes were needed for a proposal to pass.
*note: Bondi Beach's GMs, Norfolk's GMs, and Faded failed to vote. TomHanks voted but after the deadline. They have all been fined $2.5 million
There was one proposal on the ballot this season and it had 3 options to vote for. The possible results of this vote were as follows:
8 or more votes for Option 1: Option 1 goes into effect in S29
8 or more votes for Option 2: Option 2 goes into effect in S29
Option 1 and Option 2 combined receive 8 or more votes: Option 1 goes into effect in S29
Option 1 and Option 2 combined receive 7 or few votes: Option 3 remains the case
Some users create a player at certain positions before they realize what they’re getting into. Free rookie switches should be less punishing for these players. This could also simplify switches, which can be quite intimidating/complex to new users. Vote for one of the three options below.
1. DSFL rookies that created players at QB, KP, or OL may reallocate 100% of their TPE when using their free rookie position switch.
2. All DSFL rookies may reallocate 100% of their TPE when using their free rookie position switch, regardless of position.
3. Do not change/add any rules regarding free rookie position switches.
Option 1 received 2 votes
Option 2 received 10 votes
Option 3 received 0 votes
Option 2 Passes

- draft scouting
- drafting
- roster audits
- getting people back so they are roster eligible
- getting GM bots done
- filler bots
- making OL bots
- draft stream
- moving player pages
- getting arch switches done
- position switches done
- then getting your preseason line up sorted
- ISFL rule ballots
- Rule proposing
- Rule discussing

This is such a great rule for the DSFL and I'm glad 5 people decided not to vote for it and one only remember because it's his job. Smh guys. What are we doing.

Don't forget draft scouting, drafting, roster audits, getting people back so they are roster eligible, getting GM bots done, filler bots, making OL bots, draft stream, moving player pages, getting arch switches done, position switches done and then getting your preseason line up sorted.
This is before real life is taken into consideration.
