Greetings dear reader, I'm sure by now if you've been around nearly any ISFL discord server. You may have heard the saying "frost sux lmap." I don't exactly know where this originated, though I'm pretty sure it came from a game of Among Us. Either way, I decided to look into the claim and see what, if any truth it has. To do this I'll be taking a look at every important metric I can think of, and we'll determine whether or not frost does indeed suck.
GM Career.
S22 6-7
S23 8-8
S24 12-4 lost in conference championship
S25 11-5 lost in divisional round
S26 8-8 lost in conference championship
S27 12-4 won Ultimus
Total career win% 57-36 .612 or 61.2%. On top of this, having four consecutive playoff appearances and only one losing season as GM. I think it's fair to say that at least in this regard, frost does not suck.
Now that we've got the boring stuff out of the way, let's take a deep dive into frosts career as a player in the ISFL. Frost has had 2 players to date. His original player being K/P Daxter Frost, and his current RB now known as Rapthalia Chan. (terrible name by the way.) We'll start with the kicker.
Baxter Frost:
59/63 XPM | 37/43 FGM | 171 Punts | 7,717 Punt Yards | 45.1 AVG |
I'm not going to lie I know next to nothing about kickers in the ISFL. So I'm not sure if this is a good or bad stat line. To me it feels pretty pedestrian, especially for a player I'm told lasted 3 seasons.
Rapthalia Chan:
1,455 Rush Attempts | 6,059 Rush Yards | 4.1 YPC | 55 TDs
289 REC | 2,863 Receiving Yards | 18 REC TDs |
Now, if there's one thing Rapthalia is good at it's finding the end zone. There is a distinct possibility of over 100 career touchdowns by the time frost decides to retire. Despite season by season numbers not being incredible, the overall career isn't too shabby. Though 4.1 YPC over nearly 1500 attempts is less than ideal. As Much I hate to admit it, I think if Chan continues to be an above average RB for another 2-3 seasons she might make the Hall of Fame. Maybe becoming a weeb render was good for frost in the long run, his player certainly got better after the change. So this seems to be another area where we can safely say that frost doesn't suck. However, there are still places we can look.
Next on the list, let's take a look at draft history.

Hindsight being what it is, this was a really good expansion for the sailfish. A lot of guys on this list I didn't even know came from expansion originally. Getting Dexter Banks turned out to be the most valuable pick from this draft. A really solid foundation to build something from.

We're finally starting to see a crack in the armor. Frosts biggest weakness seems to be drafting OL and TE. Though it is important to point out the monumental success from S22. Nearly every foundational asset to Sarasota's early success came from the S22 expansion and regular draft. I'm not sure if I ever graded the S22 draft though at the time I remember thinking it was around the middle of the board. I will have to revisit that at some point. The final point of contention I want to look at is frosts success as a user.

3 DSFL Pro Bowls (1 with the punter two with RB/CB)

I honestly thought he had more pro bowls than this, but I suppose those early seasons at RB really weren't all that great.
So what have we learned from this? Well, I think it is now scientifically proven that unfortunately frost does not suck. I'm sure this will have some form of cascading effect around the ISFL. As we all now must come to terms with this fact. I for one, am devastated. A truly perspective altering discovery. Who now can I blame when I miss on a prediction? I need someone to blame of course, because if I can't blame frost then it must be my fault, and I don't like that.
