*Getting to know Calvin Hobbes - krazko - 05-04-2021 Who is Calvin Hobbes and what is he doing playing football you might ask yourself. I'm here to try and create a picture of myself, my dream and ambition while playing in the ISFL. I'm Calvin Hobbes, from Sweden but lived for the past 10 years or so in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. I've played football for as long as I can remember, back in Sweden it was mostly for fun alone, or with my pet tiger (some non-believers believe him to be a stuffed teddy tiger toy.....) Here you can see an early play where he annihilated me: That annihilation in particular led me to realize I had to be fast and clever, something I've worked on throughout my young career and I am aiming to become as fast as I can possibly be. With that, a fast Wide Receiver was where I was placed when I started to play organized once I had moved to Chagrin Falls. I loved the position and the fact I could run away from most other players on the field. Here you can see a self created slide on how I tricked my dear friend and also used my speed to get away from him to avoid further injury on my part: I'd say my speed, game sense and drive to always improve are my best assets, and I'll let other people put me down by saying what my weaknesses are. It's always been a dream of mine to play in the ISFL and play the sport I love professionally. While I didn't believe it would ever happen when I started playing alone in my back yard home in Sweden, I'm excited to have the chance to do so now! I have no preference for any special team and I'm just excited to start my career and have a good time while playing the game! With that, I have no expectations on the draft that is to be, I, like everyone, hope to be drafted as early as possible, but it'll be tough and I'll have to use these last few weeks to really prove and show I deserve that high draft rank I do strive after. In my downtime I do enjoy the normal young guy activities, hanging out with friends, playing video games and watching movies. I have also played ice hockey for a long time and it was a tough decision if I should go for football or hockey as I love both sports! I do enjoy playing golf when I have the time, but it's not always easy to find the time to play. I hope you've found this interesting and gotten a better picture of me!
